- BRITAIN'S favourite free tourist attraction is to break with a century of tradition by introducing a charge for admission.
From the start of the 2009 season, customers who vist Pleasure Beach Blackpool will need to purchase either a Gold, Silver or Bronze pass. Which will cost £5, allow access to the park as well as rides on Pleasure Beach Express and Monorail, Noah’s Ark and the Chinese Puzzle Maze, and enjoy a matinee performance of South Beach Musical Also guests will not be allowed to bring any food or drink onto the park.
Only under-threes will get in free.
The park refused to comment but said it was telling customers about the change this year so that they had time to get used to it.
SO WHAT DO WE WANT TO GET FROM THIS...
Pleasure Beach Blackpool has been free to get into for well over 100yrs & we think it should stay FREE.
We hope to try to over turn this charge.
The petition & campaign runs from now till March 2009.

blackpool is expensive enough without being charged an extra £5 to get into the pleasure beach!!!!

hi im from blackpool, and yes it sucks about charging, they already got rid of 2 other great themeparks, frontierland, and pleasureland please not the pleasure beach.
If any one was at the pleasure beach on the last day of the season. the rollercoaster situated at the back of beaver creek, may be getting demolished, from 2009 it will be standing but not operating. Ive set up a group called .save the rollercoaster at pleasure beach blackpool.
Please sign it as i want to stop it from facing fire wood.
