I'm settling into the BT9 culture way of things but have still remained faithful to my country bumpkin-ness!

Working away at Fisherwick PCI doing a bunch of different stuff here and then studying for a degree too. No one ever warned me how much work is involved with it though!! So for all those who think youth and community work is a doss; how wrong you are!! (Well, most of the time!)

Still with my man so going with the old distance makes the heart grow fonder thing but I do miss him and his chest hair... =) Don't miss cows though...

Come visit sometime; might even make you coffee!

  • Airports... Part 2

    It appears now that my reputation for travelling mishaps has somewhat exapanded!! Turns out that my flight wasn't really delayed or even cancelled but that the airline went into administration meaning the company no longer exists nor does my flight!! Hilarious! So back home now until Sunday and trying to get the most random flight ever to get me there; get to clear Minneapolis airport too where I've already had lots of fun in the past with. So all being well, if I miss no connections anywhere and can even get out of Heathrow I will be in Canada by the early hours of Monday ready to amke my little boat trip to meet the others having missed the majority of the conference :L Out of 365days of the year, hundreds of airlines and thousands of passengers I managed to pick the flippin flight that went bust! So watch this space to see what else can happen; not sure how I can top this one however.

  • Airports....

    Soooo.... stuck in yet another airport!! This one is at least in Northern Ireland and the people speak English properly; all bonuses! Been delayed 3hours so far but once I get on my "cheap" flight with Zoom I'm off to Canada! Would love to be able to say where it is in Canada I'm going but turns out there's no name for it, simply on a random mountain somewhere with pretty lakes and other mountains near by! Once I leave Vancouver it is an hour drive to a ferry like thing (which may also be delayed knowing me!) where it's a 3 hour journey to my luxury paradise, ha!! Kinda starting to get nervous now though about the whole thing but I'm sure it'll be grand. Lots of peopel from all over the world to get to know before flying home (maybe even missing some connections along the way!!) and starting my degree in sunny Oxford with another pile of new people! So all biz!! Should probably use the time productively writing the assignment due next week instead of this but no fun in that!

    ~See an elephant, giraffe, panda, hippo, orangutan in the wild (not all at the same time though!)

      yea still enjoyin the course but havin to do ucas stuff at the mo and its a pain in the hole lol. still workin in supervalu of course, cant get away from it lol. iam sometimes up near queens on fridays and norm have an hour to waste so u may get a txt or phone call bout the coffee.u still got the same mobile number

      tech finishes with me around june time i think not really sure to be honest but i cant wait for it to end really. mum already spoils her alot anyway and i just sit and make faces at ella most of the time. and of course theres strange things happenin with me there always is but i wont bother u with them. i hardly see anyone anymore either i just have so much goin on that i dont go out much anymore lol
