- Información
- This definitely doesn't look like LinkedIn. Where do I paste my resume? What?!? About my life OUTSIDE of work? WHAT are you talking about?!?
- Interests
- BeMyFaceIn sites, cooking, hiking, gardening, marine aquariums, multimeters, photography, audioscrobbling, computer geekery, harness racing, IPSC/USPSA, IDPA
- Music
- When I was younger I played a little piano, violin, and tenor sax. Sure wish I had stuck with something.
There's not much you could play that wouldn't get my feet tapping. I'll listen to just about anything -- indie, blues, metal, folk, reggae, even a little bit of country when the mood strikes. Just like with books and movies, there's too much good stuff out there to waste my time with repeats. I tend to tune into a streaming audio station that has a good variety, very few repeats, and a better chance of playing something new (to me) and mind-opening. And when that station gets old, I surf around and find something else. Simple. And it all comes without the burden of becoming a fanatic or having files or discs to lose. I'm really amazed you're interested enough in my musical tastes to read this far. - Books
- Too much forced reading in college spoiled pleasure reading for me for many years. Now I'm just too damned busy. I used to tear through Tolkienish authors like Terry Brooks, Piers Anthony, Weis & Hickman, Ursula K. Leguin, Robert Lynn Asprin, etc. Now I just pick up whatever pulp my wife leaves lying around and rarely make the time to finish anything.
All-time favorites here: http://www.selfindulgentmonster.com/... - TV
- I'm on a news fast. And if it's reality TV or it's about cops, lawyers, or doctors, I won't watch it. In other words, there's never much on. I tend to pick something from the sci-fi channel, OLN, or the learning channel if I've got room on my TiVo.
- Happiest When
- I stay away from Typhoid Barry.

Plain and Simple Facts About Me I'm Not Ashamed to Admit -- Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 1:17am
1) Technology is an incredibly vast ocean. I am not going to know everything there is to know about any question you can come up with. In fact, if you're keeping score, you'll find more things that I don't know than I do. But I'm not ashamed to admit this. Why? Because technology is an incredibly vast ocean, and keeping score on anyone, no matter how "experienced," would result in the same "failing" grade. And no, rephrasing the question isn't going to make the answer magically appear. But give me a few minutes with Google and I'm golden -- AND I'll understand the documentation that I find.
2) Don't be disappointed if you set me up with a logically impossible argument and I fail to bullshit my way around it. It's actually a good character trait that I can't snake my way out of anything. "Nerd" and "silver-tongued devil" rarely go hand in hand. If you want a golfing used-car salesman, you're barking up the wrong tree. Go find an MBA, not an MS. Is the industry so full of shysters now that you have to be a salesman in order to be an engineer?0 comentarios 424 días
