I survived my trip to Paris arriving back home in one piece. It was fantabulous!

The flight out was fine apart from FlyBe having the cheek to ask whether i wanted to put my bag in the hold then charging me £18 for the privilege - I mean really what else was I supposed to do with it, put it behind my ear! Co dhiu, i made to Charles De Gaulle airport where i spent a couple of hours or so exploring the wonders it held. Ok, ok so I got a little lost but the lifts were all wonky and it would have been easier finding Narnia or Platform 9 and 3/4 than the correct lift to the correct exit.

Anyhoo, I got to my hotel which was lovely, cute and dinky. I had a quick norrag before heading out for my nightime illumination tour of the city. It was fantastic, all the sights look amazing all lit up at night time, the eiffel tour goes all sparkly for ten minutes every hour - woweee

We then went to a show at the Moulin Rouge which is the most spectacular thing I have ever seen. It was AMAZING - there were little Shetland ponies, some great entertainers (a man balancing a woman on his head, a guy playing drums with ping pong balls and much more!) At one point a massive pool of snakes rose from the floor, then one of the dancer ladies jumped in and started dancing with them - gee whiz that was a bit scary! Anyhoo it was some evening and a great kick off to my trip to Paree!

The next morning was an early start as i had booked a morning tour of the city. We stopped at the Eiffel Tour which didn't look as geroovy as it did at night especially as there was a giant rugby ball right beside it due to the blasted rugy cup thingamajig! We also had some time at Notre Dame Cathedral which is just stunning as well as Sacre Couer, one of the highest points of Paris offering fab views right accross the city. I decided against going near the Louvre after being informed it had 24 miles of corridor and even if you only spend 5 seconds looking at each picture you'd be there for a month. If i had risked even a quick peek I can guarantee you that christmas would have been and gone and i still wouldn't have found my way out again

That afternoon I had a Grand Seven Wine tasing session to attend courtesey of O-Chateau. We tasted champagne, 2 whites and four reds and though am not usually a fan of red - i thoroughly enjoyed them all - no spitting out for me! I even attempted the metro and didn't get lost, yeah!

Co dhiu after all that excitement I decided to chill on Thursday visitng L'Arc de Triomphe. Despite almost passing out after climbing the 248 steps to the top the view is definately worth it. You can see everything off all twelve avenues leading from it, tha direach wonderfull!

The one thing I would say is beware the roads, they drive however they want and park wherever they want, there is also an inane amount of scooters flying about the place. While on my tours I spent a large amount of time pressing an imaginary brake thinking we would crash at any moment!

And that was that i made it home on Friday my bag following me on Saturday, thanks FlyBe you really are cac - sigh....

Now all that is left to do is plan my next escape.........

This is a rather unfortunate bulletin to announce - due to a lack of interest the Clan Gathering has (unforunately ) had to be cancelled. Reasons for non-appearance included their clan chiefs resemblence to Yankee Doodle, amongst others.

I however will be comforting MacLennans one and two through these hard times, pacifing them with perhaps a giving of Magners (they're not sophisticated enough for wine am afraid.)

Hopefully one day there will be a reprisal.....

The Skye Festival was AMAZING! It may have rained on Friday but did it stop us from wearing shades or partaying - NO! I managed to loose everyone and everything though managed to relocate everything barr my mothers lovely warm jumper - sorry My wipes and tissues came in incredibly handy too though thankfully the first aid kit was not needed

So much fun was had I can't really tell all we saw, though they were all absolutely fantastic, Ash, Kasabian, Aliens, Union of Knives, Shipping Forecast.... I think Bob and Is favourite had to be the Reggae tent however for the pure randomness and groovy moves - I wasn't allowed to buy a CD though

We made new friends with bus drivers, men with tambourines, the police and maybe a few others, lost each other alot left mountains of voice messages but eventually made it home in one piece if knackered. Maybe photographic evidence of the nights progression was not the best idea but definately worth a few laughs

I can't wait to do it all again!
