1. That Monday morning feeling actually begins about 3.35pm on Sunday!

2. During classes the only way to stay awake is to count how often the phrases 'Guaranteed to come up on exams', 'Homework' and 'Focus' are used.

3. When teachers say "We're beginning a nice and easy topic..." you can bet anything that next week, once you've finished the chapter, they will give you a really hard topic to make up for it.

4. Continuing to put off homework and then realising on Sunday night that you still have a pile left for you on your desk.

5. Because nobody on their deathbed ever wished they had spent more time in school!

6. You need to be a multi-armed Hindu god to cope with all the homework.

7. You're told about the "Exciting new chapter ahead" and know it's just fancy-speak for "Your new workload would crush God."

8. Trying to work while your teacher stands over you to see if you are doing it right.

9. Teacher speak such as "Preparing", "Get familiar with" and "Revision” all means the same thing: a pile of homework.

10. Algebra and Trigonometry- when are you ever going to use them?

11. Actually spending a long time at your homework for once and then your teacher isn't in the next day.

12. There's always one last piece of homework to be given at 3.34pm on Friday afternoon.

13. Listening to tapes in Irish, French or German which largely consists of "Eurrghh, er bleurr, erm urm" and your teacher expecting you to understand what was said.

14. Homework- for every one subject you complete you add another five to be done.

15. That September 1st feeling actually begins in mid August!
