Doc Killian is a 49 year old factory worker who spent 20 years working in factories since he arrived home after spending 7 years as a U.S. Army Medic. His wife talked him into listening to the song "Darlin Nellie Grey" by the "Stanley Brothers". So, he went and bought a banjo. The banjo went on the shelf so he could continue writing. He recorded his first CD, "The Factory Worker", at WSDS Radio-Ypsilanti , Michigan , He became friends with Bobby "Swampgrass" Anderson . Bobby (one of "The Westerners" (the band that started Mel Tillis in his career in Okinawa in the 1950's) and Doc worked together on Doc's next 2 CDs, "Red, White & BlueCollar" and "Blue CollarSuit".
