OK, so as most of you know Toby has been under investigation for the last 7 months as to why he is not quite walking properly. Well the very latest is that it finally has a name as to what he has... we have been told, unless anything changes or gets worse, that he has Mild Diplegia which is a form of Cerebral Palsy primarily affecting the legs.

It is a far cry from what we were initially told at the beginning of the year as to what he could have had and in a funny way this is kind of a blessing in our eyes. Of course everyone wishes that nothing is going to be wrong with there kids and we are no different, but if this is the way it is going to be and all he ends up with is a slightly different walk to everyone else then believe me when I tell you we are fine with that after what news we were told back in January. He will continue to go to physiotherapy sessions and he will also be monitored to see how things are going, but other than that we just need to make sure he does his excercises and keeps progressing as he is.

Toby will always be Toby to us, from day 1 we have never treated him any different than we would any other child and we will never let this affect the way he lives his life or gets involved in things. We will let him get involved in anything he wants the same as any other child. We love him so much.

We do have to say a massive THANK YOU though to all our family and friends who over the last 7 months have given us an immense ammount of support and I don't think we would have got through it (especially the early stages) without you. You are all stars !!!

On the plus side of Toby, he has been potty trained for 3 weeks now and it doing perfect with it. He was trained in 5 days and we couldn't be anymore proud of his latest achievement. he is starting to speak in sentances and it's so good that you can get home from work now and talk to him about his day the same as you would anybody else. He is booked into a Nursery for the start of next year, but hopefully he will be going for a couple of days a week prior to that so he can get used to it.

Well, what have we been up to this weekend, well it started off with some good news. We have been potty training Toby since last Monday and by Friday he had got it, so Saturday morning the novelty was to have a wee, then go upstairs to empty it and wash his hands.... thing was he did this about 8 times in the space of 3 hours !!! - Don't get me wrong, it's fantastic that he is now potty trained but that did tire me out a tad. We just need to work our way up to trying to get him dry through the night next.

By the time Ari had got up it was time for me to get ready and head off for my tattoo doing. I think with me I built it up so much for being the most painful experience of my life, that when it he started it was not painful at all. Fair enough a few places were a bit more sore than others, but by sore I only felt a little scratch. After about 10 minutes in it just felt and looked like he was spraying it on. I love it anyway, and you can see the piccies of it in my photo section.

In the afternoon we went shopping and Toby did not have any toilet accidents which was excellent. He did ask for a wee at the shop but would not go on the normal toilet so he held it in until we got home. Fantastic.

Saturday night my Mum and Terry looked after Toby for the night down at their house while Ari and I went off for a Pizza Hut and then on to see The Simpsons Movie. As most of you know I am a huge Simpsons fan and I absolutely loved it. They even had a Simpsons 'couch' where you could have your piccie taken with all the characters which I did and will put up the photo soon. If anyone else goes to see it then let me know what you think, but the Spider Pig bit had me in stitches so watch out for that !!!

Sunday was spent mulling around the garden as it was fairly nice, then we had dinner with my Mum and Terry before heading off to B&Q to buy some outside dining furniture.
