"I will vote in the next General Election but I will NOT VOTE for any candidate that wants to keep cannabis illegal regardless of their political party or any other policies they have. - Principals
- We believe the use of cannabis ought to be a matter of choice and not of law.
We believe that the prohibition of cannabis is against the public interest.
We believe that the prohibition of cannabis contravenes Human Rights.
We believe that the prohibition of cannabis inhibits the use of a beneficial resource.
We believe that the legalisation of cannabis is a very important step that should be taken to benefit the people and their environment. - Aims
- To hasten the full legalisation and utilisation of the cannabis plant for the good of the peoples of this world, on a local, national and international level.
To secure the release of all prisoners convicted only of cannabis offences and to ensure that all criminal records for cannabis offences are expunged.
To encourage public and private research into the many beneficial uses of cannabis including industrial, social and medical uses for the good of the people.
To halt all criminal prosecutions for the use of cannabis as a social or private relaxant including its uses as a sacrament or in religious or other ritual.
To provide a voice for those in society persecuted and prosecuted for cannabis activities which victimise none. - Proposals
- That cannabis and cannabis products should be removed from the UK Misuse of Drugs Act, thereby being legalised.
That the possession, cultivation and use of pure cannabis and cannabis products be free from prosecution.
That cannabis be re-introduced into our society.
That high priority be given to the cultivation of cannabis for the express purpose of the localised production of virtually cost-free fuels through the process of pyrolysis on cannabis biomass, and as a source of fibre and hurd.
That provision be made to enable the setting up of public establishments where the use of cannabis is permitted.
That provision be made to enable the setting up of outlets for the legal supply of cannabis.
That at least the same level of protection be given to the cannabis consumer as is given to the consumers of other commodities: weights and measures, quality etc.
That all prisoners presently held only on cannabis convictions or charges be released from custody without delay a - Forums

Story on how the police treat the disabled
Hi my name is Jim (Pinky) Starr.
I had police call around my house looking for someone reported staying at my house, this male person the police where looking for wasn't even in the area as far as I'm aware, last I heard he was in Birmingham! He was reported to the police by my neighbour and his ex girlfriend who is staying next door. The police came in searched the property for him and found items that made them arrest me!
I requested about 8 times for my wheelchair to come with me to the police station - this was refused.
I requested could a police officer come down to the station with me in my car with the wheel chair... no. Could my carer bring the wheelchair to the police station for me..... no. Can you transport me in the chair to the station.... no. I had to use sticks as I had no choice as my powered wheelchair and manual chair requests where refused.
I requested that I take my tablets before we go into the station, it's all prescribed and I have proof. This was refused and I was told to put the lose tablets which where in my hand into the container and the nurse will OK taking the medication at the station.
The trip over to the police station was jolting my back as I had no support on the seats in the back of the police car.
At arrival of the police station I was told I wouldn't have to walk far, even though it was a short distance to walk it caused bad pain to my arms. The nurse at the station refused to give me my normal medication as they where not in the boxes the tablets come in. I was only allowed steroids as I had the box, then they only gave me under half of the dose I needed. The officer didn't tell me to take anything into the station apart from my tablets which he took. I requested my medical notes to be taken in with me as well as a few other bits of paperwork. This was OK'd but the Police didn't bring it in as I requested.
The Police removed me from the property even though I requested that I stayed during the search. I requested about 6 times to speak to the sergeant as I should be except from the misuse of drugs law as I'm not misusing a drug and that I'm protected by article 8 of a private life covered by my Human Rights. This request was not listened too by the sergeant even thou the officers present agreed with me.
I was strip-searched, which I needed help to do as I was in such bad pain, the Police did help me a little but they never put the slipper socks on properly leading to the fall to follow. The Police locked me in the cell and didn't even carry the paperwork for me to read that they gave me at the desk.
I also told the officers who stripped searched me that I can't sit or lie on a hard surface due to pressure pain, all they did was give me two board like pillows and 2 blankets as I was cold and shaking, suffering with high blood pressure due to the event and pain. This was also noted by the nurse but no doctors visit was arranged. I felt like my head was going to explode in pain.
I was told they would have to take my walking sticks away from me so I was unable to get around the cell as there where no rails etc for me to use only slippery tiles. They said they put me in cell D1 next to the desk so if I need help I can call for help as I can't get to the button. I thought this was good of them. I needed the toilet, as my carer was not there I had to try and go myself and fight the pain. As I stood up I slipped on some gravel in the cell as the slipper-socks the police gave me where not put on fully.
The stones where not from me as I was strip-searched upon entry to the cell.
I slipped and went down on the side of the bed towards the floor. I used my left arm to break the fall on the side of the bed. As my arms where in so much pain I could use my sticks let alone break a fall. My back also jolted against the bed.
This fall left me with agonising pain to my upper arm, shoulder, neck and mid back. I called for help whilst lying on the floor in pain crying an0 Comments 174 days

Your right to a private life!!!
A West Wales man has gone on trial claiming the right to cultivate his own cannabis.
Neil Christopher James Morgan, 52, told police officers they were infringing his rights under the European Human Rights Act--and even lit up a cannabis reefer in front of them.
A jury at Swansea crown court heard how four police officers armed with a search warrant descended on a group of caravans parked in woodland off the B4333 Newcastle Emlyn to Cynwyl Elfed road.
Neil, who is representing himself during the trial, told the court his defence was Article 8 of the Human Rights Act, which, he said, guaranteed his right to a private life.
Neil said he would not deny cultivating the plants. But he would argue that his arrest and prosecution were illegal.
http://www.zshare.net/audio/17307254...
A spokesman for the Legalise Cannabis Alliance, said: Neil's case is particularly interesting as nobody else was involved, there is no allegation of supply, and he lived so far away from anyone else in a wood in South Wales.
"Moreover, in a previous court appearance in Swansea, police stated that although what he was doing was illegal, they did not consider it to be a criminal activity! Nobody was at risk of harm and nobody's own Rights were being effected.
"Nevertheless, Neil has been taken to court and is about to appear again this time at Crown Court in Cardiff on September 2nd. This time he may be sent to prison -- for what?
If Neil is not entitled to his private life in that situation, then none of us are. It means that police can force their way into their homes without good reason, and get away with it. The police are breaking the law and in some countries the prosecution would be disqualified. In Britain it appears there is nowhere we can go for a Private Life -- even miles from our nearest neighbours"
Neil has openly admitted that he grows cannabis for his own use -- but the system seems set in concrete and he has made very little progress gaining support for his defence.
The trial continues at Cardiff Crown Court on 02/09/08 -- The LCA will be there to support him, please try and be there

Pledge “cannabis-votes”
http://www.pledgebank.com/cannabis-votes
"I will vote in the next General Election but I will NOT VOTE for any candidate that wants to keep cannabis illegal regardless of their political party or any other policies they have. By signing this pledge I am promising to make legalising/decriminalising cannabis a non-negotiable issue in determining my vote. but only if 10 other people will do the same."

Country: United Kingdom
More details
On the 7th of May 2008, the UK Labour Government announced that they intend to reclassify cannabis upwards from a class C drug to a class B drug, despite their own independent panel of experts (The ACMD - Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs) advising them three times against such a move.
The move for re-classification against expert advice has brought the whole A-B-C drugs classification system into disrepute and the Government can no longer even pretend a drug’s classification reflects it’s risk of harm, nor can they pretend that the prohibition of cannabis is based on any genuine concern for public health. Unprincipled careerists are using the cannabis issue as a political football whilst organised crime profits from a huge untaxed and unregulated illicit market and thousands of otherwise law-abiding citizens are criminalised for a victimless 'crime'.
Since The UK's drug polices aren't based on fact or any concern for public health, no amount of evidence that we present showing the current laws to be unworkable, counter-productive, unjust and damaging, will ever persuade our Government to change them.
The Government has decided to reclassify cannabis simply because they thought there were more votes to be gained in marginal constituencies.
We can prove them wrong by refusing to vote for them.
If enough people who support cannabis legalisation pledge to make the issue a non-negotiable red line and refuse to vote for prohibitionist candidates, maybe the Government and other political parties will change their minds.
Please help us achieve our aim by pledging to use your vote but only for candidates that support legalisation.
There are supporters of legalisation in all parties and we don't back any particular party over another, but be aware that only a few candidates will ever go against their own party’s policies. Most politicians will usually toe their party line.

the crime rate in holland is but a fraction of what it is in britain, and the tourism is almost double, this is no coincidence my friends, these are 2 of many pieces of evidence which support the legalisation of cannabis. This beautiful country was built with the help of trading such useful, natural products such as hemp. FREE THE WEED
DON'T CRITICIZE IT! LEGALISE IT!
Screw the government. They're not doing anything good for this country, so why the heck should we be listening to THEIR opinions and laws about Cannabis? If they can't even look after our money, then who the hell are they to discriminate a part of nature that was here a lonnggggg time before they were?!
