- I am English actress, known for asr role as Zoe Reynolds in the BBC One drama series Spooks (2002-2004). I've appeared in a number of other television dramas, including Dennis Potter's Karaoke (BBC One/Channel 4, 1995), and Othello (ITV, 2001). I also played the young Diana Dors in the ITV biopic Blonde Bombshell (1999) and Nicola Graham in the ITV drama After Thomas (2006). I'm currently playing DI Alex Drake in the new BBC drama series Ashes to Ashes, the sequel to Life on Mars.
I have a son, Myles, with cartoonist Spencer McCallum, whom I married in December 2001 in Westminster when Myles was 20 months old. They separated eight weeks later, after I fell in love with Spooks co-star Matthew Macfadyen. I married Macfadyen on 2 October 2004 in Richmond upon Thames and our first child together, Maggie, was born two months later in December. Our second child, Ralph, was born in September 2006.

- Ashes to Ashes features DCI Gene Hunt (played by Philip Glenister) from Life on Mars. He is joined by an experienced female detective from the 21st century, DI Alex Drake (Keeley Hawes), [1] who wakes up in 1981 after being shot in 2008. She concludes that she is either a second away from life, or a second away from death, because of the detailed notes she has studied from Sam Tyler, when he found himself back in time in 1973 after a car accident.[4] Also reappearing are Chris Skelton (Marshall Lancaster) who emerges as a "technical wizard" and Ray Carling (Dean Andrews). All have transferred to the Metropolitan Police in London and Chris and Ray remain loyal to Gene. Augmenting the team is WPC Sharon 'Shaz' Granger, (Montserrat Lombard).
