Candidates from NI - Anyone interested in entering the Miss Ireland Pageant 2009 from Northern Ireland, please send us your details on an email to info@missirelandpageant.ie, along with your county name in the subject line. We will have enterants from Antrim, Armagh, Derry, Down, Fermanagh, and Tyrone.
Miss Longford - This years Miss Longford competition will be hosted and promoted by Blazers night club in Longford Town. Anyone looking to enter the competiton should get in touch directly to Carmen at 0868576220 or by email at blazers@live.ie.

Famous Miss World contestants
Aishwarya Rai, is an Indian actress. She won the Miss World title in 1994. She is currently regarded as the biggest name in Bollywood.
Halle Berry, 1986 Miss world Contestant. She has received Emmy and Golden Globe awards, and was awarded the Academy Award (Oscar) in 2002 for her performance in "Monster's Ball". She is the only woman of African American descent to have won the award for Best Actress. Halle also starred in the Bond movie, Die another Day.
Victoria Silvstedt who is a world famous Model represented Sweden in the Miss World finals in 1993 in South Africa.
Lynda Carter is an American actress. She is known for the Amazonian title role in the fantasy-adventure TV series "Wonder Woman" which aired from 1975 to 1979. She Was Miss USA and was acontestant in the Miss World finals in 1972.
Danielle Lloyd athe famous British Model, who is currently one of the most photgraphed women in the United Kingdom. Danielle was Miss England 2004 and was contestant at the Miss World finals in Sanya, China.
Maria Julia Mantilla from Peru became Miss World in 2004. Maju is currently a very succesful model with the Ford model agency in the United States.
