Twelve ways I try to live my life.
1. Don't bother with video games, celeb mags or reality tv, Life's too short.
2. It's pointless trying to drown your sorrows, they only learn to swim.
3. Saying nothing can be a powerful way of saying something.

6. Never sneer at intelligent people.

- You know what I mean by low culture. Celeb Mags, Has-been filled reality shows, lazy no-talent Saturday Night Shitstravaganzas, Novels not written by the celebs who's name appears on the cover of them, (I'm thinking Jordan, etc), That kind of thing.

- Talking in a really good bar or restaurant with like minded friends, listening to really cool music, helping put the world to rights.
- Popular culture
- I'm a two-headed cultural animal. I'll as easily talk about a rip-roaring comedy/action film I've seen or kickin' pop act currently in the charts as I would about philip glass or chris cunningham. I just get riled by music by numbers or formulaic TV shows too similar to each other, in order to win the ratings war. Give us informative, entertaining and above all, stimulating TV. A lot less of Simon Cowell, Jordan & Peter, Kerry Katona and (screw you if disagree about this) Bruce Forsyth. If the last name on that list were a horse, He'd have been sent to the Bostik factory a long time ago.
- Dislikes (well some of them anyway)
- Anything described in it's advertising as "fresh", "must-have", "revolutionary", or that "Every-one's talking about it", or that you should buy the over-priced tat, because "You're worth it".
Brain-rotting T.V. on the main channels. Stick it on little watched cable channels where it belongs.
Over syrupy, sentimentally sung, claptrap from the likes of Westlife, Celine Dion & all imitators.
The Burberry pattern on anything.
The inexplicable admiration of Gangster culture in Britain. How can you look up to (as a role-model) those who terrorise entire communities, bring so much suffering and misery to others, pedal drugs to kids, Try to get what's theirs (ie. it's someone else's, but fuck it, it's theirs now).
People who wear Bluetooth headsets outside of their cars. You think, that when you're talking into the mouthpiece that you're, suave, sophisticated, interesting, that you like like Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible, You don't, You just look and sound ridiculous, esp. older men.

Me, Myself & I
A little bit about myself. Well my employment history anyway.
I was born in 1971 [quite old in bebo years], was educated at Broughton primary school and Drummond community high school. 1st job after leaving school was working as a sparkie's mate on the John Lewis extension on Leith Street.
Since then I've had stints in the army [R.C.T.], the royal mail, Safeway at the Gyle, Stakis/Hilton hotel chain & B&Q twice [I'm a glutton for punishment].
The people I currently work beside are, on the whole, a decent bunch. If you can call i. A grumpy old man, ii. A debt collector, iii. A Robbie Williams fanatic, iv. A barbie loving, morris-dancing status Quo fan and v. Elvis Presley's eastern nephew, a decent bunch.
Oh dear, I can feel a few descriptions of me in similarly glowing terms appearing on my wall in the next couple of days.

nice to hear from you. Firstly I loved Take That....as you would imagine.
Secondly I'm not confused about when I'm returning to work. I have always said I'd return on 24th August. The confusion is to whether I will get back the job I left ie both stores. I don't want to say too much at the moment but rest assuerd I will fight for my job. I do want to return to the role I left.
Finally Mark collapsed while we were on holiday and lost all movement and speech for a while, they kept him in hospital overnight and did an MRI scan. All the big things were ruled out bur the hospital had no idea what was wrong. He's better now, just very tired and he's going to the doctor today so hopefully we'll get to the bottom of it now.
I'll keep you posted about the job etc

Glad you enjoyed BWS lol, its hard at 1st but you do get used 2 it very quickly which is surprising.
Friday and Saturday are obviously the harder nights, if you are gonna do Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night then will tell you what 2 expect.
Wednesday is ur easiest night, expect no more than 2 palets.
Thursday night is slightly more harder, expect no more than 3 n a half.
Friday can range from 5-8 palets.
So enjoy it, i certainly have.
