Born Belfast, lived in shannon till i was 19, moved to new market, moved on to New York for four and a half years, moved back to shannon, now living in limerick. Was married, now not! Have three grown kids. I've done a BA majoring in History, minoring in sociology and women's studies and completed an MA in women's studies.
I Volunteer time at Rainbow Support Services, Rainbow Drop In, at least once a week.
I also have connections with OUT in UL which is the LGBT Society in the University of Limerick.
I am also the editor of Alphabet Soup Limerick, the LGBT News Letter / E-Zine

hey there people, yes I'm a great big flaming bi *grins*. Which to the uninatiated means that there is something about girls and guys that just flips my switch, lordy knows what that is...*grins* just a *oh my sweet goddess* moment. I've been working my way through this for several years now, over five I guess, first being confused when I started uni (kids, extended family if yer reading this...*SURPRISE!!!*) I'm getting more and more comfertable with myself, I'm out to my kids, and I think just about all my freinds, but not my extended family (heh, heh!). I'm the outgoing pres of OUT in UL the university LGBT Society, and quite proud of that fact. I'm not on first look what many would consider *gay* but I think the rainbow jewlery might be a bit of a lightbulb moment for them. So you'll find a lot of gay stuff on here and if you have a problem with that, please be aware that it is your problem and not mine. Delete if you must but please have a gay day anywa

It's a religion people, a way of life and a belief system. My focus however has not been all that great of late so I haven't practiced that much. If this is a problem for you, then its your problem, you may delete me as you wish. But I hope that those of you that know me will realise that this has been part of my life since before I started University several years ago and I'm still the loveable person I always was. Live and let live! Carpe Diem! lol and blessed be to you all.

Basically I'm a sci - fi buff, I also love a good comedy and rommance. I've also been known to watch the odd horror as well. So sue me, I love the movie 'lake house' and '10 things i hate about you'...
Music
My music tastes are as eclectic as I am (or should that be weird/strange/odd?), I grew up listening to country music in the kitchen on sunday's while the dinner was being cooked, and the first album I bought myself (on tape) was Adam and the Ants 'Kings of the wild frontier'. I like the odd bit of classical 'flight of the valkirie' for instance, and I do like 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's music as well...modern music is a hit and miss, there is some that I do like, and some I wouldn't touch with a ten foot barge pole. I'm a fan of the euro winner in 2006 (just for the sheer balls of the artists singing it), and love some of 'my chemical rommance's' stuff. I've even listened to rammstein on occassion...so check out the play lists, and the vid...it should give you a taste of my likes.

        Thursday 10th Of September is World Suicide Awareness Day.
        To mark this event, community groups from across Belfast are participating in an “Walk of Life” to raise awareness of the issue. Groups from across the city are leaving their perspective headquarters to march to City Hall for 6am, to mark this as a Belfast wide event. The event is scheduled at this early time to symbolise travelling through darkness and into light as an expression of hope for those bereaved through suicide.
        We would like to march from our building Memorial House waring Street at 5.00am

        Congrads on tying the knot but where?Here in Ireland????What u doing these days?still in Limerick?Myself i,m between Cork and Limerick. have some mates from Spain over in July so i,ll be touring with them.Was in Vancouver for a wk in may and i loved it. I picked the right place. Have visa for year but will probably apply for permanent residence when i, there and stay for a few years, who knows maybe forever. Nothing to keep me here in this depressive state on teh verge of collapse. Anyway do keep in touch!
