Today we had a picnic in the park with all the sections in our company. Considering the weather forecast had said showers, it was pretty hot and sunny. I think all of us must have come away with a tan or sun burn- unless you were sat in the shade of the tree!
We all met at Baxter Gardens at 10 am which was obviously to early for the older people in our company as the younger girls were there before them! Chloe and Jessica were there to face the big swarm of seniors and brigaders as we walked into the park. If I had been them, I would have run the other way! Amy soon joined us along with Vic and Clare. Because we were all getting tired of waiting for our captain, we all decided to go to the park and let her find us!
At first, there was a giant blur of madness as every single one of us ran to all the different things in the park! After we had all regained composure we started to play on the park a little calmer and more safely while Charlie finally turned up! (Well when she actually found us!)
To get the picnic in full swing, the young leaders (me, Georgina and Nicole) decided it would be a good idea to get all of the girls playing Frisbee! We thought it might be safer than being hyper in the park but oh how wrong we were! It turns out throwing a Frisbee is a highly skilled thing but not as skilled as dodging one flying full speed right at your face! Our company certainly keeps you on your toes and is never boring! The more we played Frisbee, the better we became (apart from Georgina!) so Nicole and I decided to make it more interesting! Normal Frisbee isn’t good enough for us- we like piggyback Frisbee better! This game wasn’t flowing as well as the other because the older girls who were giving the piggybacks had to keep trying to pick it up without dropping the girls on our back! We looked like we had escaped from the circus and were performing to an invisible audience!

Today, all sections of gb met at church for an afternoon of fun, games & singing. After tea (sandwiches, crisps, cakes & slightly runny jelly ) we attended the church service where the girls showed off the songs and the actions that they had learnt and practised that afternoon. The juniors and explorers were better than the older girls and staff because as you get older it seems you can't sing and do actions at the same time

We had a lot of laughs- the explorers and juniors seemed to find Robert funny. I suppose he is just someone you have to laugh at and we also got to see the dancing side of Jack haha, man can he bust some moves The games we played were interesting to say the least and I don't think anybody took them seriously

so yeah, great day

Gb was great tonight.
yesterday was Valentines day and we all came to GB earlier (6:00 - 7:30 pm) and after we played some games, we went off into our sections and did our different things.

-explorers (and juniors?) made little biscuit things

-seniors had feet treatment waheyyyy. 'cos we were doing hygiene and stuff that night and we got to sit on chairs with our feet in foot machines while we talked about it. BRILLIANTLY relaxing, if i may say so myself then we put on some handcream after we had a chocolate snack

-and brigaders had their nails done fancyyyy that. i think they painted each others' nails and talked.

anyway that's just one night at GB, more to come in the following weeks, st so you get a taste of what's like, those of you who don't go (yet .
