• Our State Department Does Not Like Our First Amendment

  I finally had enough of the misinformation. I tried writing an article on the SBA. Our President recently renewed his commitment to small businesses. While the amount he suggested, the need to fund startups, disaster area rebuilds of rebuilds (see Notes), returning vets... are tiny compared to Wall Street, looks like all the right people are working hard. It takes lots of effort and time to put out the simplest article. While working on that, I found that I was blocked.
  
  I emailed the firm (see Background for excerpts) did not hear back. Do not normally jump to conclusions. Our Administration is full of web industry people. This has gotten out of hand and after checking, Decided to run this.
  
  I was trying to rebuild in this economy. I am an entrepreneur that invents. Trained in business with a track record of building business within disasters. All known to the Obama Administration. Disaster rebuilding takes extra time, real money. These things are not accidents. My taking a train wreck and turning it into money, is what I do. My government needs to stop swiping my work.
  
  I do not work for free. People Port has not been a classroom experience. Would the government swipe Google when it was starting? So why is it alright for State to rip me off. Then doing their best to hide it. When I found my site blocked, I asked the local librarian, She confirmed the program is mandatory and it is updated each night. The blocking affects search results.
  
  For readers that have not bookmarked my sites, they often use search engines. When your site gets blocked, you cannot be found. On checking the major search engines, Not there. The web being the web, parts are are around, however, with blocking, all traces will delete -eventually.
  
  Searches are one way new people find me. As our State Department continues to try wiping People Port and I off the face of the earth, I will continue to point these errors out.

  Part of being on the web is checking your links, making sure they click to the right page,... It is a long list. Normally, People Port Editorials entered in Google shows on the top entry. Lowest I found was bottom of page two. Lots of readers. Today, to find any results, needed to put it in quotes. This is what I found.

  Notes:
  
  The small business community needs all the help it can get. Venture capital funding was less than 10 Billion, SBA this year did not even guarantee 15 billion in loans. That means the little people need our government to step in and guarantee their debt. Even when the balance sheet looks bad. Especially when homeowners rebuild hurricane damaged homes with faulty materials. Sure they bought the cheapest materials, in some cases that was all that was available. That said -they still need a safe home to live in. They needed the SBA and once again our government let those poor people down. Our SBA needs to get on the correct side of this issue wither or not Congress passes healthcare.
  
  My patent dealt with a battery. One battery I invented delt with nuclear waste. At that time, I tried to get our Energy Department interested. They were not. Regular People Port readers are familar with the story.

• Will Our Grannies March On Washington

  10/06/09 Lake City USA -Oh what fun. More fun (not AstroTurf) is planned by the Americans For Prosperity Foundation. The Conservative equivalent of ACORN, energized supporters by recalling the town halls, while the person that founded the group took a victory lap. They plan a march on Capitol Hill of those in need of hip replacements.
  
  Often called AstroTurf they are a real grass roots organization. They are newly enthralled with our political process. Yes, the founders continue to pump money into their projects, which included the Tea Baggers. The Tea Baggers gained fame from their innocent association of Tea Bagging with a modern attempt at a Boston Tea Party.
  
  There was even a local Tea Bagging Group. They asked People Port to cover it. I knew the young'uns and explained why they would not be news. What they meant to express was not what is getting across. They are railing against the candidate Obama. All I spoke with, love the USA. Recent television news shows the exact opposite. Many keep our President Obama in their prayers. There involvement is about Big Government. Americans for Prosperity may have many problems, however, they are giving voice to a group that felt overwhelmed by these fast changing events.
  
  Those that founded Americans For Prosperity are oil rich, they do not understand, Why the government needed to step in to replace lost private and industry spending. They have ties to energy firms, however, they do not seem to understand the economics of our energy business. Not trying to do a hatchet job here. It would be bad for there members to coax their grandmothers with new hips or in need -to march on Washington.
  
  There are no death panels. The Senate Finance Committee's White Paper on our health system has been on their site since last Fall. The Health Bill coming out of the Senate Finance Committee is remarkably similar. The Teas Baggers I interviewed maynot like one culture or another, They do not act on their notions, They are glad Americans For Prosperity helped them. When pressed, they liked Speaker Pelosi's Rural America page. Many remember, without being prompted, that FDR brought lights to the country. The Healthcare Bill has stalled in the Senate Finance Committee.
  
  That happening, triggered the thought of grannies needing a hip replacement marching on Washington. Much like the radicals of the Sixties, these newly motivated Americans needed a voice, Americans For Prosperity gave them one. That is not a license to build bombs, throw tomatoes, marching is fine, except those in need of hip replacements.

• Healthcare Reform Will Pass, So Will Wind Insurance

  09/24/09 Senator Bill Nelson (D Florida) emailed his constituents informing them of his fight on healthcare. He and many other Democrats are offering some good, well timed, advice. Most Floridians would not know him as a Blue Dog. That seems to have just popped up. Current press accounts, think tank experts, are reporting facts that do not seem to be in the bill.
  
  
  Try very hard to leave the far Right, far Left out, except where they happen to be correct. It is important to remember Republicans embrace defeating healthcare reform as a way to regain some lost support. They point out Blue Dogs and moderate Republicans are easy targets this time around. Their mistake, the economy is getting better (see note below).
  
  Moderates were usually elected and re-elected because they were moderates.
  
  U.S. Rep. Gene Taylor (D-Miss.) is one of the more famous Blue Dogs. He, like liberal Representatives are proud of their votes with the Republicans. In checking, I did not find their votes all that Left or Right. Both sides need to understand moderates will think alike, finding reasons to vote alike. A good radical example is wind insurance. Many coastal states have set up their own risk pools (similar to those you have read about concerning Health insurance).
  
  The concept allows those firms protecting homeowners from hurricanes, to offer real protection, through your State.
  
  In this example, the government is the only entity large enough to accept the risk. They can sell bonds covering highcostsin any one year. This is what our Founding Fathers had in mind as a central government role, not a Department of Risk Management, protecting the health of you and I. In this example, the roof over our heads -replacement. All part of the deal. The Administration, true moderates, see intrusion into the wind insurance market as wholesale swiping rights reserved to the states. They offer lame excuses, however, spin will always look like spin. To finally solve the wind example, like healthcare, we need to look to the Senate Finance Committee.
  
  The Senate Finance Committee are leaders that behave like true moderates. At times a few put party politics ahead of common sense until the Moderate voters hear about shenanigans. You may have notices the shift at the start of this month in the polls. That shift back to moderation is very American.
  
  There is that one example of a moderate attracting real opposition. Most continue to claim the expected seat pickup in 2010 will be a reflection of healthcare, big government takeovers, and our wars. Many top Republican leaders are on the record as, "Give the President what he needs in Afghanistan." That seems to get lost in some circular reasoning. That is very much a Republican position, even though it is also a winning Obama Administration position. The war is not popular.
  
  Afghanistan's internal corruption is the largest reason. Most Americans understand corruption destroys everything it touches. Those giving voice to this issue seem to be drowned out. The do-gooders are getting lots of attention when on the ground corruption in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq... is ignored. People Port has reported over and over again of countries overcome by corruption. That is an issue Democrats can win on. One that Speaker Pelosi pointed out way back in February.
  
  Healthcare services that Republicans protect (one example, renting a device for $75 a month when it costs $35) do not raise the expectations of that leader defending the small businessman. I know he or she would never support that example in real life, however, in this era of instant news, the wrong concept often is overlaid. That was not the case with the think tank expert. He took issue with the Democratic wordingsuperimposing the President's support for legal immigration reform (build the fence first) with the Democratic bill allows illegals access to government health insurance.
