Agreed \/ \/ to comment below they cut down rainforests for cattle ranching mainly that is one of the biggest causes and cutting down the rainforest for water electricity for a cheeper way of electricity can flood the rainforest and drown animals that cant swim luckily those hoo can swim possibly wont die but the poison from the gold minnig probably will kill them i dont eat meat cuz i love animals and i want my grand children when im old n grey to see the world and not natural disasters floods and maybe be ther for the world ending.

If you want to save the planet so much, I suggest you stop eating meat. This IS the biggest cause of pollution from their excretion. It is also the main reason the rainforests are being cut down; to make room for the animals. Their excretion is polluting our rivers, lakes and reservoirs. By not eating meat you will do more for the planet than you ever will turning a light bulb off. But as I already know, none of you will be willing to make that sacrifice, unless you already dont eat it (in that case go you!) You will only do things that are CONVENIENT for you, not what will truly help. Dont preach to me about saving the Earth if you eat meat, because you are a complete and utter HYPOCRITE!!! When you stop eating meat, then ill discuss saving the planet with you.

It infuriates me to see people such on those on this page believe blindly in global warming when they have not even bothered to investigate the science for themselves. If they had they would discover that the world as in fact cooled since 1998, and that on average there is more sea ice per year. The decline of ice in the Arctic has stopped since 2003, and ice levels have in fact doubled in the Antarctic. Last year (2007) there was more ice in the Antarctic any year since the Little Ice Age. P.S. You can't argue with the fact in the 2nd paragraph, though you can interrupt them in different ways. They are undeniable facts by the world's leading climate bodies, such as the Hadley Center.

global warming is a CON JOB. dont believe the scientists the UN commissioned to investigate it.
