Gay Switchboard Limerick has been providing confidential information and support to the gay community since 1986 . The Lesbian Line commenced in 1989. The RSS helplines continue to provide the Mid-West with a confidential and anonymous support service for gays, lesbians, bisexuals and their families and friends.
The helplines are run by trained volunteers, with direct experience of the issues involved. They too had to deal with their sexuality and overcome isolation, lonelines and discrimination.

Rainbow Support Services supports Marriage Equality, and as such, would like to recommend these websites for you to visit.

  • Hello there everyone...

    We've a Volunteers Meeting coming up on the 6th of July at 6 pm. We hope that you our Volunteers can all show up to this meeting it will be supervised by coordinator Vanessa Buswell and will include all the Rainbow Support Services Volunteers.

    At this meeting you will all get a chance to voice what is on your minds, and get a chance to see the new Volunteer Office, which we hope you will all make use off. Already insitu are Alphabet Soup Limerick, the Women's Group, Pride and the Drop - in.

    During the meeting you will also get a chance to hear what is going on within the project.

    So we do hope that you will all make the time to come along to this meeting.

      Hi Everyone,

      The Irish AIDS Day Ride Out is back due to popular demand!!

      This year it is slightly different.....we do not require sponsorship for you to ride with us!! YEH!!

      It's just slap a €20 on the table and away you go!!

      We are riding the coast again, and stopping for lunch on the way.

      Meeting in Bedford Row at 11.30 to hang around and look cool, make noise and attract onlookers (and possibly other riders)!!

      We will be accompanied as always by the Red Cross, The Irish Motorcycle Marshalls and the Guards.

      So if you want more infromation about how you can get to be waved through red lights and make a huge noise all in the name of charity contact John SImons (event organiser) on 061314354 or John@redribbonproject.com or bebo me and i will ask him for you!!!

      To all Pride Parade Stewards

      Anyone who is doing stewarding for the Pride Parade will need to be at pery square by 12.

      There will be a security chat about what can and cannot be done in terms of dealing with people, where the route will go etc.

      Who you bringing with you? Let me know because i have to buy the high viz vests etc.......
