When I first came to Japan, I had never eaten raw fish before (raw fish is not called sushi - just to make that clear, it's a big old lie that people tell you - a fallacy - not true - it's called sashimi), but after a year I've grown quite accustomed to it, it's rather tasty. I've also went on to eat raw squid (I don't recommend it), octopus, and horse (yes, that's right, horse - neigh!) which is surprisingly good.
Now, the thing that's troubling me is this...after all the strange raw food I've eaten I'd think I'd be able to stomach anything - but the prospect of eating raw beef is freaking me out a little (and don't know why!?!), and I have to face this ole' challenge tomorrow! Fun fun? Perhaps, perhaps not.
