Vicki prepares to lure the incubus into a trap)
Coreen: I know this might be hard for you, but try to be in an open, receptive mood.
Vicki: Okay, open and receptive...to a demon coming to kill me. Sure.
Henry: (runs up and kisses Vicki; smiles) Open yet?

Mike: We really need to talk about your drinking problem.
Henry: Clearly, I stopped too soon.

Vicki: Where did you get this software?
Coreen: It would be better, if you pretended it wasn't here.
Vicki: Does that say F.B.I?
Henry: Where are you going?
Vicki: Husband hunting.
Henry: (indicating himself) Husband material.

Henry Fitzroy, a 450-year-old vampire and the illegitimate son of Henry VIII, lives among humans as a graphic novelist but as a sideline teams up with Vicki as she investigates the unexplainable.

Vicki's ex-partner and sometime lover Mike Celluci is often simultaneously trying to tackle the same unexplainable cases as Vicki, and he's far from thrilled about Vicki and her new partner's palpable chemistry.



Coreen Fennel

Coreen, 19 and a fiery, hard-core goth-girl, was the girlfriend of Ian Reddick, the Demon Killer's first victim. Having hired Vicki to solve her boyfriend's murder, Coreen had seen too much of the world that Henry and Vicki moved through to ever turn back. And with her Betty Paige hairstyle and basic-black clothing, she already looked a lot like a denizen of the occult world.

Coreen worked her way into a job as Vicki's assistant, always trying to insinuate herself into Vicki's bizarre cases - and always living with the hope of becoming Henry's lover and being initiated by him into the clan of the undead. It's a hope that Henry will never fulfill. She's just too morbid sometimes, even for a vampire.

Dave Graham

Dave Graham, Mike's partner, is a piece of work. Black and in his early 30's, he's being divorced by a fourth wife and already cheating on a mistress. He's coarse and funny and plays the devil's advocate to Celluci's hard-nosed serious investigative style.

Although Celluci will eventually be forced to recognize the presence of the supernatural threats Henry and Vicki face, Dave will never realize the true nature of the weird goings-on, even if they're happening right under his nose.
