This is a group for Class 66 fans. Although they have proved unpopular with enthusiasts and even drivers, they have proved to be a reliable and powerful locomotive on the British railway. They were firsted introduced in 1998 by main freight operator EWS, which ordered 250 locos-the biggest order of 66s. Since then they have been the mainstay of freight traffic around Britain and with there different operators and liverys, they are attracting a different kind of enthusiast. Freight Operators include: EWS, Freightliner. GBRf, DRS and soon-Fastline freight.
