I am a Buyers Agent in Spokane Washington. One of the things I see a lot is people insist on shopping for a home without a Realtor. This is one of the big mistakes people make. What happens is that people think they are 'just looking' but what really happens is many times that turns into buying at the spur of the moment when they find a perfect home.

This leaves them at the mercy of the selling agent who doesn't represent them though they can help them write the offer up. They also might decide to then grab a Real Estate Agent, but that agent doesn't really know what they were looking for and they don't know how good the agent is so it is very risky and they may end up getting an agent who just pushes the deal through.
