      Right, 2 ½ months in and i should probably write something else. Unfortunately this is the severely edited version and really isn’t that interesting im afraid, so il keep it as short as possible. Ive spent most of my time in brissie. Our first trip was up to double island and paradise beach for an epic beach camping weekend. The pics are up so im gona be lazy and not describe what it was like but i will say that the highlights were schwosing in the forest at night, fireside drinking and hanging onto the back of a ute while it drove at about 50kph down the beach. As stupid as it sounds,its loads of fun, schwosing is climbing into a tree and a walking out onto a branch until it breaks and you fall and hurt yourself.

      Brissies great to live in cos of its night life but not much touristy stuff to do so i kinda did all that pretty quick, the zoo etc and sorted out my trip down the coast to Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. In retrospect Adelaide. It took just short of a month to do everything, and a whole lotta money cos i did backpacker guided tours between each city. They were well worth the money but my tour groups were pretty shit. Lots of germans on the 1st tour, then even more on the 2nd. There was a family on the 1st that kinda ruined the relaxed atmosphere of and then French and English on the 2nd tour didn’t want to fit in cos everytime we got to a hostel they upgraded to a hotel down the road. Then there was alotta people that didn’t speak any English. Anyway, the tours were good(photos are up) except for the dirty old psycho that started telling me he’d love to have his way with all the young girls on the bus and then proceeded to ask me to join him at an AA meeting when we got to Adelaide cos i have a problem . PSSSSSSP... Jog on!!! And this is the same guy who had his daughter on the trip and yet kept on tellin me how much of the gange he used to smoke and all the women he slept with while she was about 5 feet away. Classy bloke. The French guy was just weird, he couldn’t or wouldn’t speak English and just kept asking me for hugs. I shouldn’t have given him the first one. All the germans were cool except for one weird one that liked me and expressed it by staring at me for extended periods of time.

      My impressions of the cities were Sydney is best for tourists, there’s more to do and it’s really the only international city left in Aus since Melbourne got so laid back. You can tell Melbournes great to live in but theres actually not that much to see besides Eureka tower and the markets that are closed most of the week. And theres no traffic in Adelaide, it’s like an abandoned town most of the time and it didn’t help that my guide book lied about everything to make it seem better, as in saying places were open when they’ve been shut down years ago. But all 3 of these cities are really cold compared to Brissie. At least i understand why graham and Johnny chose Brissie.

      Highlights of my trip included the scenery, snowball fights, sledding, falling down a mountain, drinking games into the early hours, all of the people i met (especially the Scottish and American girls) and all of the nights out with said hostel roomies.
      When i got back to brissie after all that graham and Johnny had moved into the new pimp pad. A savage 3 story house thats in a complex surrounding a pool. It’s the shit and so far ive just been enjoying the good weather again. We went to mooloolabba last weekend for a night out and some more fun in the sun. Twas quality. Next weekend is riverfire festival. In typical Aussie fashion they’re having a fireworks display on the river for no other reason than to have an expensive piss up. They even warn families to stay away from the city centre and watch the fireworks from specially sectioned off areas. Can’t wait!!

      Well i made it, the flights were ok. I couldnt say anything cos the girl sitting next to me was a nurse named Laura who worked in a leper colony in Niger and only had to deal with all the worst diseases around. She'd already been travelling for 2days and had only 2hrs sleep cos she had to protect her luggage from nutballs.Nothing happened on that flight except that whenever we fell asleep we'd wake to find a weird dutch granny standing over us staring at us while we slept. It happened a few times.

      Baggage got lost in SIngapore airport but i sorted it out and everything was gravy when i got to Brisbane. Rang graham to pick me up with my only bit of credit.Howaya TED, just take a left out of the airport and il meet you at the McDonalds up the road he says. Its a short walk but sure i can get a big mac for your trouble he says. Problem.... hes thinking of the wrong FUCKIN airport and there is no McDonalds!!! I walk with all my shitty luggage a mile down the road and back again when i realise he might have been an idiot to find him wandering around arrivals looking for me. Plank.

      Anyways, the flat is grand, my couch is comfy and jet lag hits me like a tonne of bricks. I went for a few walks to get my bearings in the first few days. Went to UQ(University of Queensland) down the road. Theyre only finishing their winter tests now so when i sit down for a mini pint a few people come over and sit beside me. I drank the whole day with them, fair play to them. Then jet lag kicked in and i fell asleep before going out. I still dont have a phone so its kinda difficult to meet up with people so far.

      Endurance go karting on thurs from 7-10pm. Something like 15 teams, where you have pit stops and you have to change drivers and everything. I was a little bummed cos i got stuck with people i didnt know cos graham and johnny(grahams best mate and the other guy i live with) wanted to win it and they made their own team of people who had more experience on that course and the whole endurance thing. Aww poor me :( , except in your face graham and johnny!!! they came 8th, we came 3rd, i got a trophy and all :D .

      Bring on friday because thats the night that they go out on. Their thinking is that no matter how bad it gets they'll be fit for work by monday. We're all drunk but graham hasnt eaten anything and is trolleyed walking out of the flat at the start of the night. We went to Birdees, a place where your not allowed in if your in a shirt or your tshirt has a collar. I thought that was weird. Having a quality time, some parts of the night missing. Graham got escorted out in a headlock for what we now believe to be a misunderstanding of hilarious proportions. Im too lazy to explain everything.

      Fast forward to Sunday. PJ party in the local version of the roost, the R.E. People actually did dress up so it was savage craic. Il try and keep up the blog thing if i have anything moderately interesting to report.

      u will appreciate this story, got out of bed earlier an stumbled sleeply into my sitting room, to see a tabby cat (male i think) jump down off the flower pot beside the sliding door. so as soon as he saw me he stopped an stared in at me, and i was staring back, so there was a few seconds of stand off until he looked away and cooly, sat down, and dragged his ass all the way across the cobblelocking. :L :L :L :L i just burst out laughing, was one of those quality moments!
