Hmm... Blog? I remember that old chesnut...
Well, I have been major busy of late (who am I kidding?) and so I haven't unfortunately been able to blog for a very very long time. I'm sorry to disappoint all you loyal fans but this one will be somewhat curtailed due to the fact that I am on duty tonight in the house and thus do not have a lot of time to devote to such frippery. Thus, the points that I usually take 100 words or more to describe will follow this introduction and they will take the form of bullet points or rather short statements.
Firstly, I am going to see the KILLERS live in London at a secret location witha an audience of only 300 people! On top of that there will be monkeys there filming for channel 4 and it will be shown on your tellybox sometime in the near/distant future. Oh yeah and I'm going because of the most fantastic person ever, who got the tickets for my birthday. Beat that you lot! In case you were wondering, her name is Shona and she is the best.
Secondly, The band formerly known as Soundbox, sorry Four Functions are playing in Whatman Park (someone please tell me how to get there!) in Maidstone, this weekend! Its part of a music festival called "Peace One Day." We are playing the main support slot, which basically means we will be playing penultimately and will have the second best sound/light show hopefully. There are a few other cool bands playing there so it should be a laugh. Please come down if you're not doingf anything else.
Thirdly, I recommend a band called Explosions In The Sky. They are an instrumental rock band who write really beautiful music akin to Bloc Party. It is very mellow but very powerful at the same time. I'm not sure whether any of their records are available in the UK but try Amazon or summat because they're bound to be obtainable somewhere.
Fourthly, As I mentioned subtly earlier, it is my 18th birthday on wednesday and I expect you all to get me wonderful gifts of epic proportions. Ok no I dont but perhaps a Bebo comment would be nice... Seriously though if you are coming to my party please could you tell me for definate wether you can make it or not either by leaving me a comment on here or texting me on 07792 716 738. As for directions, its at my house which is [LOCATION EDITED OUT] for those of you who don't know. A map should be found here. [LOCATION EDITED OUT]
Finally, for those of you that don't understand the dress code and I am mainly talking to the men here, look up "Quadrophenia" on Google images for some ideas of mods and for rockers look up "http://www.stthomasu.ca/~pmccorm/res..." See, it wasn't that hard was it? Right I must dash now as I have spent far too long on here already!

Guess Who's Back?
Well, I haven't written to this monster tome in a loog long time. I am almost confused because I have nearly forgotten how to type. Anyway, after this absence I have plenty of things to talk about so hereis the latest installment in this sitcom series of my life.
Firstly, I have to mention that I am in a play called "Someone Who'll Watch Over Me". It is by a playwright called Frank McGuiness and is a very powerful piece about three men in a cell in Lebanon. It is very current with the situation in the middle east. It is taking place on next tuesday and thursday in the Tonbridge School studio theatre and is on the 4th and 6th of July respectively at 7:30PM, this will not clash with the world cup game if England make it to the the final, so you have no excuse not to come!
If you havent obtained one already then there are still copies of ElectroDiscoPartyPants avaiable so do get hold of one, they're free after all! Also we are finalizing a date in Guildfod in the summer to add to our Kentish tour so if you could make it up there it will be great to see you. It will be up on our myspace when we have details.
My music recommendation this week is a well known yet seemingly unappreciated band called Kraftwerk. If you havent heard of them then you cannot call yourself a music fan! They are massive pioneers of electronic music. They basically invented techno as we know it today and invented electronic drum kits and were hugely influential during the 80s as they are today. They have a few albums of mention, namely, "Trans Europe Express" and "Autobahn", both of which are readliy available so go out and get them!
On another recommendation, I have to implore the importance of a comedy series which has just entered my life thanks to a very special certain individual that is out getting very drunk this evening. The programme is called The Mighty Boosh and was aired on BBC Three a while back. It is absolutely hilarious albeit a little surreal. Personally I find it to be the funniest thing I've seeen since Family Guy, which is saying a lot coming from a member of Four Functions!
Well, I might leave it there for tonight as I have plenty of things to do with my time now, such as learning lines and possibly doing a bit of in-house gymmage. Unfortuantely the X-Box has been taken away so my very limited Halo skills are now getting steadily worse but oh well. On that note it's goodbye from me and I hope to see you all soon!
L8RZ,
Rob
P.S. In case you were wondering my gym skills are actually improving a lot. For instance, my bench press has more than doubled since I've been dong it and now I can bench press 45kg, which to laymen like me is just over seven stone. So watch out!1 comentario 1248 días

Start of the season...
The exam season that is! I hope you've all been working hard just like I have! I had my first two exams today, Mechanics 1 and Statistics 2. Before you ask, they went quite well thank you although I'll find out just how well in the summer...
I'll apologise to some of you now and thank others. Unfortunately I couldn't attend Lizzie's (Sorry if I spelt it wrong) birthday party, although it seems as if you all had a good time without me. I managed to attend Ed G/Daisy's 18th which was a similarly good laugh. Some people stayed sober, some people got a bit drunk and some people got "WASTED" but nevertheless fun was had by all. I won't bore you with the details because no doubt you've heard them all already.
Another quick plug for our single. We are finishing recording it on saturday and it will be a stomper! If you don't know already, its called ElectroDiscoPatryPants and some of the artwork is about on my Bebo photos. It will have and as yet undisclosed B-Side, which you will have heard at our gigs but probably will not remember. It comes out at our gig on the 25th when we play the forum with Horsebox!
The selection for today is a guy called Dan Priddy (http://www.myspace.com/danpriddy). He is a musician/songwirter that plays all the instruments and does all the production etc. on his songs. They are a poppy, funky mix quite like Stevie Wonder and Prince. The closest thing I can think of at the moment is "Geek In The Pink" by Jason Mraz so hopefully you get the idea...
Finally, I'll leave you with an update with my gym progress. After having been religiously for two weeks, my strength has built up quite a bit and my summer body might well be on its way...
L8RZ,
Rob
P.S. I apologise for the comparatively short length of this blog, however, my life is really not as interesting as you might think and consequently I do not have enough thought-provoking subjects to write about other than stuff that you've already heard/read about. Perhaps next time I'll write a larger one to compensate...1 comentario 1285 días

Robert here, as you can clearly see as been shot in the head and killed by an arrow called boredom. An onlooker you can see is mocking him.His t-shirt symbolises robert's love for his band, and the clouds float aimlessly like robert frequently does when he is high.
