She arrived in Summerbay when she was 16 on a mission: to find her birth mother. When she recently discovered she was an adopted child she was shocked that the strict, religious David and Judith Taylor were not her real parents.

Her upbringing was over-disciplined and controlling. As she became older, her parents were dismayed to find their daughter rejecting their straight, conservative lifestyle and hanging out with the wrong crowd. she had also rejected my name, Susan, as she thought it far too conservative.

The Taylors insisted that she join the church youth group or else be grounded at home under their supervision. She finally agreed to join, but only if she could learn to play the guitar and be in the church youth band.

So she had found a way to express herself with writing and playing her own songs. To her parents’ great shame, their daughter was seen busking on the streets of the city for a time.

Although she is a cheeky, extroverted young girl, she is also full of insecurity and craves the love and attention her parents never gave her. She thougth that by finding her birth mother, she would at last find her proper place in the world.

When she arrived in Summer Bay, she lived in the bush for some weeks and was befriended by Ric, who brougth her food. Ric found it hard to fight her seductive siren ways. she for the first time, ffoung trust in someone, a guy, when seh realised that Ric was genuinely willing to help her. Things become very complicated when Ric decided to hide her in his room.

Despite the fact that Cassie and Ric were dating, scheming Belle decided that she wanted Ric for herself and successfully manipulated the couple into breaking up. She didnt waste any time in snatching up Ric for herself, much to Cassie's annoyance. However it's not smooth sailing for the couple and she breaks up with Ric after his continual attention to Cassie's problems with Macca.

She was in shock when she found out that her birth mother was Amanda Vale, a woman she wasnt exaxctly fond of.But after lots of heart break and Amanda letting her down she grew to like her.
She got together with another new hid in the Bay Drew Curtis, and they were going fine until he slept with Belles mother he broke it off with Belle hoping that this would mean that he and Amanda could become a couple but Amanda instead told Belle about her and Drew.
After a long time of holding a grudge and hating them she got back together with Drew and he got her to forgive Amanda.
