Summoning is an epic black metal group who formed in 1993 by Protector (Richard Lederer) and
Silenius (Michael Gregor) since then they have released 6 albums and 2 EP's. Protector is currently working on a new album after finishing some songs for his side project "Ice Ages" no release date has been set. Also, a collection of all of their studio albums is going to be packaged as a box set entitled "Tales of Middle Earth".
Summoning's lyrics revolve mainly around The Lord Of The Rings with the notable exception of their 4th studio album "Stronghold" which focuses on Tolkiens Poems.
