I just wanted to let everyone know that I have made a few more slight changes to the app. Don't Worry! It still functions the same way.

The changes involved a slight change in overall size. The widget is now 475 pixels wide by 510 pixels tall, so that it is a little smaller and should make it fit a little easier into web pages. I have also added the option to change the color of the app to suit personal preferences or to better fit the color scheme of a web page that the app is added to.

Changing the color is easy. Simply go to the app and click on the "Edit Settings" link the the upper right hand corner. Once on the settings page you will see new settings for Widget Color and Text Color. If these options are left blank the default colors will be used.

If you know the hexi-decimal color code you want, you can just type it into the field and click "Save Settings". If you don't know the color code, click on the box beside the field and you will be able to choose a color from the color picker. Simply click on the color you'd like from the colors displayed and then click "Save Settings".

I just wanted to let everyone know that there were a few slight changes made to the application today. Most of the changes were to appearance, but the code was also updated to allow the title of your event to be posted in the Changes section on your profile when a change is made on the settings page.

Now, when you post a new event, a small summary will be posted to your Changes section to let your friends know about your event. It will say something like:

" Steve Westfall just updated event info on the How To Get There application. New info was added for: My Home Town. View his/hers How To Get There or get your own, compadre. "

You should also know that the display size of the application was also changed slightly. If you have an older version of the application added to your profile, it may not display properly. Don't worry, getting the newest version is easy.

Simply go to the HowTo Get There application and in the bottom left corner of the page you will see "Page Built By How To Get There". Click on the link to visit the application home page. On the left of the home page under the Profile Picture click on "Stop being an App User". Then click on the "REMOVE" button. Once you have removed the application, click on your browser's "Back" button twice to return to the application home page. At the top left of the page, click on the "Try this App" button.

When you're finished, don't forget to invite your friends to add the application to their profile and remember to Edit your settings or the default app settings will be displayed.

Our apologies to all of you out there in the land of Bebo that have added our application so far. Somehow, we forgot to add the instructions on how to change the Map/Event Info!

They have now been added to the "Help" page of the application and you should have no trouble following them. We're posting them here as well, just to make sure everyone gets them.

Our application provides a fully customized Google map to your event with one click directions to or from any destination as well as a space for additional event info such as start times, ticket prices or phone numbers. It's great for fundraisers, banquets, parties, weddings or any other event you need to tell people about.

Changing the settings to display your event on the map along with additional information regrading your event is simple. Just follow these simple steps.

1) Click on the "Settings" button at the top of the page.

2) Once you are on the Settings Page, simply fill in the fields provided with the information about your event.

3) Click On "Save Changes". (You may have to scroll down to see the Save button)

4) Return to the application's Home Page by clicking on the "Home" button at the top of the page. Your event and info should now be displayed.

We're sorry for any inconvenience or headaches with the application this may have caused, and hope to see all of you enjoying all of the features of the application in the very near future.
