- Gyngell stands out from the rest of the Grange Hill pupils for many reasons, not least because he's much taller than average, lanky, and wears thick rimmed specs. He's the Science geek with an obsession for Star Trek, as well as a thorough knowledge of how to tell one sex of chicken from another (partly due to the fact his dad owns a pet shop). Gyngell is often found in 'geek central' as Laxo and Theo refer to it, better known as the library. Here, he’ll be engrossed in books, with a homemade magnifying glass contraption attached to his head, listening to classical music on his MP3 player.
