The Gap Year is back
It's been a while.. But the Gap Year is back and it's Challenge New Zealand. This time 5 lucky people will fly to New Zealand for an adrenaline fueled month - all for free!
And as if that wasn't enough.. I'll be stalking all 5 lucky travellers with a camera in hand .. Tempted.. Of course you are..

Euro catch up..
Forgive me father for I have sinned. I have not blogged in 4 weeks.
What on earth have I been doing.. ?
The past few weeks have been absolutely brilliant. Running with the bulls in Pamplona is probably one of the best things I have ever done. It was so great to do it alongside Amy and run into the ring afterwards. It was SO scary I can't even explain in writing how I really felt. The bulls came darn close too and we actually ran with them.. it may only have been for a few yards but we ran with them and no ones taking that one away from me...
But it wasn't just about the running - the whole Pamplona experience is just fantastic and I highly recommend people go even if you don't run with the bulls. (Though you'd be a total wus). Im going back next year that's for sure. Big thanks to Graeme and Fiona - without them and the Pamplona Posse I would not have been able to get such great footage from various balconies on Estafeta, the famous street where the run takes place.

Then we had the briefest of visits to Barcelona, (I love that city), and then to ibiza. I think Amy was a little surprised at first - Ibiza is perhaps a little overrated these days anyway, and not quite what it used to be. However, I think amy could have fun sat in a bath of freezing cold water, so having a good time in Ibiza was no challenge. My highlights were Ibiza Rocks - The Enemy and Amnesia. Loving those green laser beams. I want some in my garden. (Not that I have a garden).
From Ibiza/ Amnesia and NO sleep straight to HQ, which was quite a novelty for me, having been out of the office for a couple of months now. It was great to see everyone back at HQ. Everyone works so hard to keep the Gap Year machine rolling on, and it was good to actually see people a have a swift half at the bar, rather than a chat at the end of a line.
Camp Bestival next.. it was brilliant. The Flaming lips are (in my humble opinion) one of the greatest live bands, so that rocked my weekend. Also it was brill seeing Georgie and nice for Amy to have a playmate for a weekend who wasn't, well, me
In Paris now, one of my favourite cities in the world. We went to see Moulin Rouge last night, which quite frankly was ridiculous and a little tacky, (Im sure Amy will disagree with me though), but it redeemed itself with the sheer amount of half naked women parading around in ace costumes. It was quite a novelty and something you don't get in the UK (I think?). I never saw any breasts in We Will Rock You or Joseph that's for sure.
We have walked so far and done so much and now Im supposed to be editing. Which is probably why Im writing a blog ha ha. Better get back to it.

Update..
Hey all,
Russia was fantastic all in all - it was the most trying country I have ever travelled through but one of the most worthwhile.
There were definitely some low moments.. the daily rows with taxi drivers hell bent on ripping us off, getting lost countless times, (usually in the pouring rain), everything being shut, trying to work out the impossible metro system, dealing with unhelpful people's constant blank and seemingly miserable expressions and ..finally... getting my arm stuck in the in the metro train doors.. was very scared it was a gonna.. and now have a lovely big bruise..
The day we swallowed our pride and tagged onto a lovely group armed with their own guide was the day things picked up and we got to do everything we wanted. The group were great considering we gave them no real choice - they were are new friends and that was that..
My Russia highlights are the architecture, the brilliant locals we met and seeing the ballet and the corpse of Lenin. He looks pretty damn fine for his age.
24 hours in Belarus was very brief though interesting.. Amy's blogs have all the info. I was a victim of Face Control there.. In Belarus and Russia if they don't like your face that's a good enough reason to not let you into a club. And they didn't like my face. Pah!
We are now in Krakow, Poland. The mental euro mission continues..

nothing wrong with a small horse lizzy as long as it does the job im sure everything will be fine
anywyas things are good...in the bahamas now and umm nothing much going down!!! i dont know if you know but Huws cam finally gave way after 4 and a half months and so Huw is trying to put together a clip for this week which wont look the same, maybe a few PSP video shots here and there hahaha...really just hoping that the rain clouds stay away while we are in the Bahamas and Miami...low season here to which means nothing much going down...i suppose Huw and I are just going to have to make the party happen ourselves...
Loved the video btw...reminded me of when we were in the Amazon!!!
