- In the start of 2008 the Cave crew decided to start their own night up in Belfast named after their beloved afterparty venue, The Cave. They took the same crazy afterparty attitude and brought it into a club and with this you experience quite a "unique" atmosphere. So far they've had parties in The Front Page, Bar Budda with international guests such as Sven Wittekind, James Ruskin and Mark EG alongside a host of local talent such as Steven Garrett (Miniminds/Kaleida), Bazz Barr (Systems Music), 4th Loop, Vakama (Skream Science Records) and Marty Lyttle. Then holding the fort are Cave residents Cricky Lyttle, Blacky, Davey Cullen, 16 Bit and RMWH.
Cave nights offer you a range of styles from our minimal and techno nights in Budda right through to our hard techno nights in the Front Page. The rest of 2008 and early 2009 will stay true to this with some filthy bookings lined up!

CAVE Competition Winner!
...and the winner is Jay McC! Out of the mixes we received we thought his was the best. Tune selection stood out the most from the others. Was full of nice "Ibiza sounding" minimal techno. Mixing etc was spot on and the tunes were in mine, and Pete's opinion, the best. Exactly what we were looking for!
So thanks to everyone who entered. There were some other very nice mixes, I enjoyed listening to them all so cheers!

Competition
As of November all our big nights will be helf first Friday of every month in The Warehouse (Boucher Road, Belfast). The good thing about this venue is that it runs until 3am which means we can have our big acts on later and we'll be able to give the local djs who we've been promissing sets to the chance to come down and play on the same bill as some of the rather tasty bookings we have in store over the next few months!
So, what we would like is for anyone who's interested in playing at our opening night on the 7th of November to submit a 45 minute demo mix to myself via pm or email (operation_broken_spoon@yahoo.co.u
k). The one we deem the best will get to play a warm up set on the night.
45 minute mix, uploaded to Rapidshare (or similar)
The mix must be warm up stuff, so no 170bpm hard techno!

OUR NEXT NIGHT IS ON SAT 22 OF NOV WITH SENOR G AND HOSTILE PRODUCT PLUS RESIDENTS
Senor G. is one of the newest names on the house scene in Northern Ireland, having played at various venues around Belfast, including Shine, the Basement, Twitch@Laverys, Vicos and last, but by no means least, the Stiff Kitten, fulfilling a life-time ambition by getting the chance to play alongside the legendary Derrick Carter.
A self confessed Househead, G's mixes have seen him gain an extensive fan base and the opportunity to play live on BBC Radio's Across the Line Dance Show.
With roots in techno, Senor G's sound has evolved through time into his own unique blend of funky, jackin' and techy house beats, a sound that's proven to make a dancefloor move, and with some future productions in the pipeline as one half of the NJC, Senor G. is a name to look out for in the future.
