Star live music nights
The Ulster Star is considering starting new live music nights at the Island Arts Centre, giving a platform for local bands to perform in a great venue. Before we start I need to know if there are any bands that would be interested in performing. We won't be making any money off it, it will just be to try to promote the live scene in the city. Can you all shout up and let me know what you think - either here or email me at julieann.spence@jpress.co.uk. Let me know if you think its a good idea/bad idea and if you would be interested in performing.

Sex and the City
Hi! Wanted to let all you Sex and the City fans know about an event being held by House of Fraser next Wednesday night to mark the ever so exciting opening of the film. Belfast’s newest and trendiest department store House of Fraser Belfast has caught Sex and the City fever and to celebrate the launch of the long awaited movie it will host a special Sex and the City event at its top floor restaurant, Ba Mizu next Wednesday, 28th May. As well as Cosmopolitan cocktails, Sex and the City themed makeovers and style advice, fashionistas can enjoy a fabulous four course meal with their girlfriends whilst gossiping about the latest trends.
Tickets for the event are just £25 from Ba Mizu and include a cocktail reception, four course meal, Sex and the City fashion, fabulous goodie bags and the opportunity to reminisce with re-runs of old Sex and the City episodes. There will also be prize draws throughout the evening in aid of Action Cancer, the store’s nominated charity.
