- Welcome! We are a group of far left individuals who all share similar social values, i.e. Libertarianism. As Libertarians, we are strongly opposed to Authoritarian Communism: Stalinism/Maoism. The LSF also strongly disagree with, and denounce, the death penalty, homophobia, Imperialism, Militarism, all discrimination and excessive nationalism.
As Socialists, we seek to impliment a fairer distribution of wealth by placing control of the means of production into the hands of the workers. We promote equality between all people, regardless of gender, sexuality, race, etc.
The world we currently live in is predominantly Capitalist. Thousands of people die every day as a result of this cruel system, which promotes and condones selfishness and greed. Capitalism is an outdated, evil ideology that needs to be done away with. That is what we, as Socialists, intend to do.
Join now, and let us work in solidarity to spread the message of equality and liberty.

Rebranding

The group has now officialy changed its name to "Libertarian Socialist Front", and the url to "www.bebo.com/ls-front".3 odpowiedzi 86 tygodni
The idea behind this is to form a united left front, which also advocated social libertarian values.
The next question is, should we stick with the "Libertarian Socialist Front", or can anybody think of any other name which they would like to propose which still puts across what our group stands for? Any suggestions are appreciated.
And are our members happy with the current skin and display picture? Comrade John has kindly offered to roll a skin with whatever we want in it. So if members want a new skin, leave your suggestions in this forum please.
Same goes for the profile. Personally, Im happy with it, but anybody can think of any changes they would like to see, please just leave your suggestions.

The group was originally set up for all of the far left, not just communists, and I think by rebranding the group, it will encourage more members to join.
By re-branding the group, none of our philosophy will change. All it will mean is the group is open to a wider range of bebo users. And as all communists are also socialists, it shouldn't put off any of our current membership.
What is everyone else's thoughts on the matter?
Rand's a fuckin' idiot. Randist's can fool you with their shit but then you quickly realise that when they use the term "individual" they really only mean themselves. They never mean "each and every individual" in the collectivist sense which is where Randist capitalism makes a complete departure, therefore exposing itself as pish, from Libertarianism. Though in saying that, there's too many Libertarians who bang on about "the individual" (as in themselves) which is major reason why I'm put off my the whole thing. I also seem to get the impression, rightly or wrongly, that the Libs aren't fans of force which again puts me off. Maybe I'm wrong?

I don't think Statist Socialism ('State-Capitalism' is the term I prefer to adopt) even became about the money. The problem was when the role of workers councils in the diplomatic process were neglected. Personally, I can see the justification for a transitionary period and the party of the vanguard, but it has to be tempered by worker control over the means of production if that's the case.
The state should always be seeking to eliminate itself however.

Hmm I agree with the start of communism... Not what its become in todays society. It went from being about the people, to being about the money.. Like everything in this world..

i just want to say im really happy ive found this page, but i must say i dissagree with a few things youve done
first of capitalism itself isnt actaully that bad, it coperatism that entails globilisation and unfair rates of pay that are a stain on the universal declaration of human rights.
so as you see im really that far left, also i think that social libertarianism should always be a party in a democracy to prevent any tolitarian or dictators managing control a country dispite the party being a highly liberal one in the first place.
and that as long as the free market and coperations are socially aware and help out, like innocent smoothies lol then a socialism can prosper.
i think having the soviet sickle and hammer isn't a great thing to do, becuase the soviet union was almost as authortairan as you get.
so please change your page to incoperate some of my ideas ive just jotted down right here
