- Starting his DJ career with a residency at PROMISE (Newcastle), MARK MAITLAND has become the hottest fresh young DJ/Producer talent to have emerged from the North of England. His DJing has seen a constant stream of bookings both nationally and internationally and he can be seen rocking clubs like, GOODGREEF and JUNIOR:G, & EVOLVE on a regular basis.
As a producer Mark Maitland has quickly become a name tipped for great things. His blend of energetic Twisted Electro/Techno has captured the attention of many DJ’s and producers. With strong backing from RILEY & DURRANT, Mark has been quickly signed to their NUBREED MUSIC Label. The first release being MARK MAITLAND & ALEX FARRIER- ‘THE TEST’, with follow up EP as NUBREED 3. Mark has also made 2 live appearance’s on their GALAXY show this year, one Live from GoodGreef, the other Live from Evolve @ Digital, Newcastle. - Mark's Style...

- Mark’s recent production have caught the attention of some major players, his EP on IN.TOXICATE being championed by GABRIEL & DRESDEN, JOHN ACQUVIVA, D-NOX & BECKERS, RICKY STONE, & TIMO GARCIA. KING YOU also found it’s way on to a new Compilation mixed by RICKY STONE, who has taken such a liking to Mark’s productions he asked him to remix SHANGHAI TAXI (852) & FIASCO (UNDERWATER), and also collaborate.
His own label ELEKTRIQA (myspace.com/elektriqa) launches October 2007, with an EP alongside his label partner CHRISTIAN HOFF. This outlet will see an influx of fresh new experimental electronic music. With future EPS, and remixes which will make the dance scene sit up and take notice.

Yer, well, that went down the tubes a bit, Went to London, played guitar, came back, was going to uni, got a job in the bank and the rest is history as they say... altho i play the rock god act by myself if you know what i mean, too busy with work and what not.
