And so ends another spectactular year of dancing on ice. I'm sure you'll agree with me when I say it's been one of the most eventful yet, showing some of the best, and some of the worst, ice skating we have ever seen. It saddens me to say this, but for now it's the end.

    • Series Three Review

      The commissioning of the third series of Dancing on Ice was first confirmed by Phillip Schofield at the BAFTA awards. The third series began on January 13, moving to Sunday nights in the process and ended on March 16, when Suzanne Shaw was confirmed as the winner. Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby returned to present. Dancing on Ice Defrosted did not return and there was no spin-off show on ITV2.

      Michael and Melanie were forced to pull out of the competition due to Michael breaking his ankle during rehearsals for week three. Beacuase of the amount of girls that had been eliminated, it was decided that a female celebrity would replace him, being partnered with the only male professional to be eliminated in the competition so far, Fred Palascak. Zaraah was chosen as the celebrity to replace him.

      Aggie, being 52, was the oldest celebrity to partcipate in the show. She received the lowest score in every week she remained in the competition, and in week four she was the first celebrity to fall over.

      Suzanne was the first celebrity in Dancing On Ice history to score full marks from the Judges.

      Suzanne, Chris, Zaraah, Gareth and Linda all participated in the Dancing On Ice 2008 Live Tour. They joined Series 1 finalist Bonnie Langford, Series 1 contestant David Seaman, Series 2 runner-up Clare Buckfield and Series 2 Champion Kyran Bracken.

    • Series Two Review

      The second series began on Saturday, January 20, 2007. In it, 11 celebrities competed, compared to ten in the first series. The final was held on Saturday, March 17, 2007.

      Then ITV sports presenter Gabby Logan was expected to take part, but reportedly refused to do so as a retaliation for being refused permission to take part in rival BBC show Strictly Come Dancing. She did take part in series 5 of Strictly Come Dancing later on in 2007 and was controversially eliminated in week four.

      Sarah Greene (Blue Peter Presenter) was part of the line-up but dropped out due to personal reasons. As a result, the start date of the series was moved back by a week.
