CP's Download 2008 review
Ok here it is my download review, il start from friday headliner and work my way down thru all the bands we saw (yes so i get 2 put KISS first ) leave any coments if u wanna...
Friday
*KISS- ok so id got all the albums, learnt the songs, got the tshirt and all that but they couldnt possibly live up 2 wat i was expecting could they....actually they went beyond wat i was expectin...sweet god wat a stage show especially wen ur like 5 rows from the front like i was ...plus they did most of the early classics from the first alive album plus some later 70s stuff even sum of their 80s songs which kept me happy, oh yeah and did i mention they played for over 2 hours which is alot more than the other 2 headliners could be assed 2 do it seems...in short they definitely deserve to be called the hottest band in the world
*Judas Priest- If KISS werent headlining these would have done certainly. they pened with nostradamus (title track of the new album) which steve is rite in saying is amazing...also they got 2 play for longer cos kid rock had 2 cancel which im sure no 1 was really that sad about judging by the cheering that happened when it was announced ...they covered a wide range of their songs from across their career which is good obviously from the 70s to angel of retribution to the new album...halford hit the high notes so well and the rest of the band played briliantly...best moment was probably wen halford got the mortorbike out and did hellbent for leather...in short priest rules
*Motorhead- to be honest they started off a lil slow and restrained at least by their standards or it could just have been me gettin tired, however by the second half of the set they got better and by the time ace of spades came around (along with the mosh pit that ensued) they were sooo amazing...also brought out old guitarist wurzle for the ace of spades which was appreciated by the old fans and yes there were alot of em ...missed out afew songs like bomber and the song motorhead (2 of my faves anyway) but overall still very good
*Disturbed- i was impressed that they actually had clean vocals and guitar solos on some songs, actually i thought they had disappeared wen nu metal died (and thank god it did ) but no they carried on and dispite me only knowing 3 songs (1 had bn played on the radio earlier, 1 was a genesis cover 
and of course the obvious one) still enjoyable...and yes the sickness may be overplayed or watever but still bloody good fun overall as middle of the bill acts go very good
*Stone Gods- ok here goes...these guys used 2 be the darkness...there i sed it...however they got a different singer and sound much more like AC/DC or thrash (on alternate songs never a mix of the 2), the singer did try 2 sound and even look like the dude from metallica at times but not enuff 2 piss me off...overall pretty good
Saturday
*The Offspring- Ok so i only knew afew songs pretty much all of which got played...i was a lil confused wat 2 do wen they did 1s i didnt know but then agen i always am...absolutely bugger all in terms of stage show but then agen they are punk but they didnt even jump about much...i guess punk bands arent really meant 2 play as headliners or watever maybe with the exception of GD...overall not worthy of headlining (compared 2 previous day) but still ok and yes i went crazy wen they did hit that
*Saxon- the yorkshire legends themselves, proof that the NWOBHM never really died, they were booked at the last minute so were on the shittest stage (in a tent) with loadsa ppl crammed in and sum outside...we arrived after they started (couldnt find bit they were playing at 4 a while) so if they did denim and leather i missed it, however 747 strangers in the night, bands played on and wheels of steel etc made up 4 that...biff byfords voice has if anythin improved since the 80s, overall very good
*Ash- only caught about 4 songs (overlapped with saxon so i had 2 make sacrifices u see) dont have that las0 komentarzy 524 dni

You read my tenerfie blog, I'm the master of slyness, however this time i won't be asking in just my undies

You need to remember that at Scotmid people think i'm wonderful so I can slying hint that i want a mate to get a job or to 'keep him in mind' cos there is a girl leaving in abouts a months time so hopefully if the forms are not lost you should be considered. My 2 weeks were the best getting the rest of the photos developed 2moz should be intresting viewing
Yeah I know they employed 1 fella and thats it so i guess he was the only one they thought was suitable, sorry to say but i don't think you got the job - this guy is local so maby that had something to do with it cos they can be irrating by calling u up and asking u 2 do a shift whenever and expect u there in a hour.
