Urban Fantasy is a subgenre of Fantasy. Instead of made up magical worlds, the stories of Urban Fantasy take place in the real world.

Authors such as Laurell K. Hamilton, Kelley Armstrong, Kim Harrison, Charlaine Harries, Karen Chance, Carrie Vaughn, Jennifer Armintrout, Rachael Vincent, Tanya Huff and Keri Arthur are successful Urban Fantasy writers that have books that keep you gripped from start to finish.

So, if you love the Urban Fantasy worlds that are full of vampires, lycanthropes and magic, then this is the place for you!

    Some people say the downfall started with Narcissus in Chains, the tenth installment of the Anita Blake series. With a lot more sex and a lot less story, fans really drifted away from the series.
    I want to hear your views about what happened. Did Laurell loose the plot? Or was she brave for changing her writing style?

    yeah kim harrison is definatly my fave auther at the mo though laurell k. hamilton's anita blake series is a close second
    ive never heard of ellen schrieber is her book any good? whats it about?
    have you ever read ilona andrews i read it recently its not as good as kim harrison but its not bad either if you havent seen it you might wanna give it a go
    well i cant think of any others to suggest at the mo but if i think of any more ill let you know :D

    I love Laurell K Hamilton and Kim Harrisson, Kerri Arthur,Karen Chance and have just discovered Christine Warren. Christine Feehan and Sherrilyn Kenyon as well. What is even better is that Amazon sell these authors at great prices.
