- Plays sax, keyboard and sings the lead vocals in the band. Tony teaches music during the day and has previously played sax & piano in big bands, jazz combos, ceilidh bands and played various shows and high profile gigs for TV . He has a background in classical music & jazz, studying at the Royal Academy Of Music in Glasgow. He has experience in writing & arranging music and conducting full size orchestras. Always on the lookout for a challenge, he is currently studying for his commercial pilots licence, and also studies mixed martial arts - never has a dull moment.
- Jamie
- One of the most outstanding bass players around. Jamie plays the bass like you've never heard! Studying music through the ABRSM syllabus, Jamie attained phenomenal scores in his studies. A bass guitar teacher in various schools around Scotland, Jamie has a background in various styles of music. Jamie's favorite thing about playing in Aurora is being given the chance to sample the buffet! (We're only kidding!). Having a really keen ear for hearing how things should sound, Jamie tends to produce a lot of our arrangements. A big fan of Harley Davidson motorbikes, Jamie can be found polishing and clapping his motorbike!
- Lee
- Our flamboyant drummer Lee has a background in rock. A brilliant drummer who has played with a huge variety of different bands. Lee is amazing to watch and even better to listen to. An accomplished and talented sound engineer, Lee is our 'Sound Man', on top of that, he actually is a 'sound man'. Lee is also a keen composer and can often be found writing music in the early hours of the morning! As far as drummers go, he has got to be the most chilled out drummer on the planet. His baby is his new Pork Pie Squealer Drum Kit. Lovely it is too!! He also makes sure that Jamie & Tony behave in the buffet line!!!!!
- John
- The baby of the band! John is the guitarist in Aurora and has a great feel for funk & jazz. He has played in various jazz/funk combos and big bands performing at venues such as the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. He is a really talented guy and produces lovely tasteful solos and his rhythm playing is superb. John is currently studying accountancy at university which I'm sure you'll agree is really boring and so he gets to express himself with Aurora! He really needs to work on the chord structure of Amarillo though!!!!

- Fusing all of our different musical personalities & backgrounds makes for a unique sound. We are the best of friends which is always a really good start! We play a huge range of musical styles from Scottish to Jazz to the most current and set ourselves the highest standards both musically and professionally.
We have great fun playing together and this hopefully comes across in our performances. Our setlist is varied and wide ranging to suit everyone. At one stage or another, at least one member of the band has specialised in any given style of music, and so this is something we capitalise on to get the best out of our music.

You'll soon be able to enter an admin section of the site where you can check availability, automatically arrange viewings of the band, and lots of other things too.

We're now having a brand new website designed for us. While we like our current site, we feel that it could do with a bit of a makeover.
Our new live video, our video testimonials and a more user friendly audio player and your most frequently asked questions will be some of the new features integrated into the site. Plus a brand new look.

Aurora Named As The Official Band For The VOWS Awards
We're delighted that we've been asked by VOWS (Very Outstanding Wedding Supplier Awards) to be the official band for their awards ceremony later this year.
We take it as a real compliment that that company who awards the top wedding suppliers in the country has chosen us to provide their entertainment.

Just want to say a HUGE thank you (again lol) for everything on Saturday night at our wedding.
As I said to you (on many occasions according to Lila!!) at the end of the night, the amount of guests that were asking about you and where you were from was truly unbelieveable!
Your proclaimers "steven taylor" rendition had me in stitches!
