EU Awareness Week
The Political Discussion Society will be hosting an EU Awareness Week beginning on Monday the 25th next.
The aim of the week is to educate the students of the University on the European Union - Its History and Future as well as current issues such as the Lisbon Treaty and the EU Wide travel Area.
The Awareness week will see an Exhibition Info Area in the Foyer of the Arts Millennium Building where students can meander through EU Boulevard and discover fascinating information on the institutions of the Union and of the various Legal instruments which created it!
Alongside this the Society will have stands across the campus with a sampling of the information packs that can be found in the AM Building.
The Society will also host a series of meetings to further Students understandings of the EU and its work.
Tuesday: Trade Unions and the EU (in conjunction with Labour Youth)
Thursday: Youth Perspectives on the EU
We hope you will enjoy this week as much as we have enjoyed preparing it!0 Commentaren 643 dagen

Hey, the Galway University Musical Society would like to invite you to come to see our show DISCO INFERNO! This years’ show is set in London’s disco scene in the 70s. It’s about a young man who sells his soul to the devil for his wish of fortune and fame... he soon learns that he should be more careful of what he wishes for. It includes some of our favourite 70s tunes like, Celebration, If you leave me now, Crocodile Rock, Hot Stuff, Boogie Nights, Blame It on the Boogie, Play That Funky Music White Boy and many more! Like other years, this years show promises to be a great night out!
The show will be running from the 10-14th of February in the Black Box Theatre, Galway… shows start at 8 o’ clock sharp. Tickets are available from the Soc’s Box in NUIG or from the Town Hall Theatre.
So come on; dust down those platforms, catch some of that Saturday night fever and burn baby burn, in DISCO INFERNO!!!!
PDS have had some very good events this year such as the EU awareness week which included a Lisbon treaty debate, a USI debate, and an all party political debate to name but a few!!!!!
ha, first comment! have some love
