Some Basics about Decora, Written by me.
デコラ - Decora,
A type of fashion that branches off part of harajuku. The name came from the western term decoration. It's wearing everything you can find, ACCESSORIES. As many, in as many colours as you can find/want.
It's about showing what you love, wether it be Music , Anime, Cartoons, Games etc. You wear what you love, many Decora have Sanrio character accessories as this is what you like...But some Decora cosplay as Bou from AN CAFE, So it's a very personal fashion. It's not about making yourself sexy and showing off your body... It's about showing your creativity by layering and mix'n'matching fashions, colours and styles.
Building the perfect Decora wardrobe takes time, so be patience.. I, myself have only just started! xD It's about what you think looks right. So Be confident in what you wear and love every minute of the stares you receive! =^-^=
Decora is a happy, cheerful fashion, making you smile as you do simple everyday things. I gives the image of being confident in yourself and of having a bright, colourful, fun attitude to life. Sometimes, it's hard to start, because of the cliques at school or the friends you hang around with. But if you like it and enjoy it, don't give up! (y)

Ok, so I need help...I LOVE decora, and I used to dress similar to this long ago. But now I have had a ongoing incident with attention from a hentai/ecchi-minded boy, and I didn't feel comfortable dressing like this putting myself out there aymore, no wanting to attract attention. I have been wearing only cargo pants and boys tees for the past several months and only that, plus some Gothic Lolita. I really wish I still had the self confidence to dress like this, but I can't bring myself to change that fast and I am afraid something will happen in this world of chauvinist males. Any advice accepted I need some
