  • Jesus' Father Was Irish

    I've been studying fathers throughout history and it's very interesting to me that Jesus' father Joseph - Joseph Christ wasn't at the crucifixion and it seems to me he must have been Irish because it's so typical of an Irish father to miss out on his son's golden moment. Jesus would have had his business over the weekend, come back to wherever he was from on the Monday - walking through the town, kicking up the dust, seen his father stumble out of a carpentry workshop, "Howya Jesus! Sorry I missed that little dinner party you had on Thursday night. I heard it was a great success. What have ya been up to? And Jesus would've said, "Well actually on Friday I was crucified. They nailed me to a tree and on Sunday I became the first human being in the history of mankind to rise up from the dead." And his father being Irish and unimpressed would've gone, "Did ya? I suppose ya think you're great now do ya? And your mother at home alone for the whole weekend.
