What do we stand for?
We aim to give a voice to people who previously had none. The party has a considerable number of members who previously had little or no interest in politics as they felt completely disenfranchised from the existing system. We have put the wheels in motion for a new democratic party where the members set the policy through meetings, debates etc. The broad aims are to improve life in the town by campaigning for change and in the longer term, attempting to get an NLF candidate elected in the next local election. Super Extra Bonus Party Nominated for Choice Music Award
Newbridge band Super Extra Bonus Party; have been nominated for the ‘choice music award’ for album of the year 2007. The awards ceremony will take in Vicar Street, Dublin on February 27th. The band will kick off the national tour on February 1st in Cyprus Avenue in Cork to launch their new EP ‘Everything Flows’ which like their album is available from http://www.superextrabonusparty.com and all good record stores.

The IPSC presents the European Premiere of Occupation 101: Voices of the Silenced Majority
The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign is pleased to announce that the European Première of the multi-award winning documentary film about the history of the Israel-Palestine conflict, Occupation 101: Voices of the Silenced Majority, will take place in Liberty Hall Theatre, Eden Quay, Dublin at 7:30 PM on Tuesday 6th November 2007.
A thought-provoking and powerful documentary film on the current and historical root causes of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and U.S. government involvement, Occupation 101 provides a comprehensive analysis of the facts and hidden truths surrounding the conflict and dispels many myths and misconceptions. The film also details life under Israeli military rule, the United States' role in the conflict, and the major obstacles which stand in the way of a lasting and viable peace. Rare footage and testimony never shown by most media outlets are presented. The roots of the conflict are explained with incisive commentaries from leading Middle East scholars, peace activists, journalists, religious leaders and humanitarian workers whose voices have too often been suppressed in Western media.

Take part in a Dance Marathon in aid of:
Crumlin Children’s Hospital & Ronald McDonald House, D12
D12 Branch of Irish Red Cross
James Connolly Memorial Hospital & Outreach, D15
D15 Branch of Irish Red Cross
The aim of this project is to run 2 dance marathons (one in D12, one in D15) to raise money for the above charities.
Venues and dates are to be confirmed…let me know if you are interested.
The marathon consists of 12 hours of non-stop dancing. Registration is €50 plus you are required to raise at least €350 in sponsorship.
Places for 400 Adults (200 men and 200 women).
The aim is for 400 people to take part in the marathon and for each person to raise at least €350 in sponsorship & €50 for registration, which will raise €140,000 after expenses.
