cus College is more than a school , its a community .. a way of life !! There is a sense of pride and passion here that is found no where else . Pupils of other schools wouldn't understand it but cus has a strange charm that captures anyone that attend its immagination , when you join in First Year until Sixth Year the passion for this school is still the same . The pride , the passion that is felt by all cus pupils is not to be found in any other school in the world . One of the greatest feeling is while standing in a packed stand in donnybrook singing " Wer the cus and we r the best " as the red run out , when you feel that strange tingle as every hair om your body stands on end , The First time this happens you know your apart of something special and everytime you think of that packed cus stand with " c u s cus!!" bellowing out that same tingle happens ..
No Matter where in the world you go if you meet a past or current pupil of cus, you share a bond with him you know you were both a part of that amazing place and both felt that tingle . cus men stick together , through thick and thin , through all the hard time . We dont give up as winners never do . The Friendships that are created here last forever as do the memories . There are memories that stick with you for the rest of your life and most peoples will have to do with their time at cus college , whether its watching the a leinster cup matches , the opera , the sports days , or even just walking around the grounds on a sunny Summer afternoon .
No one ever wants to leave but it has to happen and on that faithful day tears are shown and no one really cares as this shows how much the school means to you and i know on that day when im in sixth year i will be in floods of tears knowing i will never walk down those corridors as a student again . No more science classes in the lab , no more classes in the old prep , but theres no need to worry as even though you may leave cus , Gonzaga will never leave you . It will always be a part of you . It will always be there in your heart , in your soul , in your blood . It will live on in you through your children and grandchildren and we all know you will send them here to show them what its like to be a cus boy , to introduce them to that same passion and pride . It is the greatest 6 years of your life and no one can underestimate how much those years meant to you . No one can describe how much cus means to them , it is too hard .. there are no words that even get near it . When you are sixty you will still feel the same passion and pride that you felt while in school . Once a cus boy , always a cus boy and cus college will be with you untill the day you die and as you lie upon your death bed make sure you have the strength to get the last words out " cus 'till I die "
