This is just a summary of my day in town. Nothing too exciting. Well, apart from meeting up with Dosseh again! 2nd time this month.

Anyways, I leave Larne at about 11am and arrived in town about midday. I had about half an hour or so to kill so I went and bought Jen a little present because she gave me a cute keyring (without me knowing!) when I left Geordie land.

I meet up with Jen and her parents and sister outside Burger King, across from City Hall and Jen and I split from her parents and wander around together.

We didn't do anything exciting really. Just looked around shops and stuff but we had such a blast. We have decided on dresses for certain Welsh people and it was so funny. A certain boyo is going to get a hot pink dress with massive slits and pink sequined platform shoes.

Oh, had these people been around we'd have a shitload of restraining orders on us!

So, we meet up with Jen's family again and this time, Jen, her sister Corrine and I split and wandered into Claire's.

Jen's parents were inside City Hall looking around so the three of us sat outside waiting for them in the heat. Took some photos, wrote on our hands and Corrine's shoe and ended our day.

This isn't the most exciting blog in the world but I don't give a shit.

I had a blast and I can't wait to meet up with Jen again when she's over for Dopamine vs The Blackout in Belfast at the end of September. She keeps saying if she has the money but she has to come. And besides, we wouldn't want broken promises now would we?

As some of you already know I went to Newcastle this past Wednesday to see Lostprophets with support from The Blackout and Kids In Glass Houses on the Thursday. This is my summary of the day. Events may not be in order but..well. Does that really matter THAT much?

So, Thursday. What can I say?

AMAZING pretty much sums it up.

Jen and myself got to the Carling Academy around the 1.30pm mark and pretty much start queueing. The queue wasn't that long so we decided to go around handing out some Lostprophets stickers and shit and also see what band members we could meet. We knew someone of them were there because we saw The Blackout's van.

Anyways, it's an incredibly warm day so after handing some of the stuff out we go and get something to drink to keep us cool. We didn't return to the queue but we hung about where the buses were parked at the stage entrance. There were already a few people standing there chatting to the security guard who I believe was called Dave.

After a while I think some of the KIGH members came out and wondered about but no-one really knew who they were so they kind of passed incognito. Some of the members of The Blackout came and signed stuff for a few minutes and then disappeared again.

Next major event that happened was the Lostprophets tour bus turned up. As they got off the bus, they were mobbed pretty much straight away. Poor Ilan (the drummer) appeared to be overwhelmed by it all. They all signed stuff apart from Lee who didn't appear at all and headed inside with Ian saying they'd come back out and sign more stuff later.

After a while Mike appeared with the ever lovely Sean from The Blackout by his side and some dude who was filming for what I think is TBO's podcast. Don't quote me on it as I'm not sure!

I was literally shaking as I approached Mike but I managed to ask him to sign mine and Jen's tickets which he did. Then, still shaking, I approached Sean and asked him to sign our tickets. He added a little extra too with him adding to mine "I ♥" above where Mike had signed mine and he added "I ♥" above Lostprophets. I also plucked up the courage to ask him for a photograph with me and also one with Jen and I also managed to get in about the fake hip. Just before Mike and Sean went onto the bus, I managed to grab a picture with Mike.

I still can't believe I got one with him.

After a little while Jen and I left the stage entrance area and went to see where Baty and Az were. Mike and Sean had since left the bus and were standing at the top of the road so we passed them on our way to see Az and Baty.

I can't remember if it was then that we went to get food but that's not important. Jen and I head to the Pound Shop for some sweets and who happen to be walking infront of us but some of KIGH, I think. Jen'll hopefully remember who it was.

As I've said before there are things that I've mentioned that may not be in order but I shall carry on regardless.

At the stage entrance/tour bus area Jamie and Ian appear but they're getting mobbed as they try to get into a car to go to do radio or something like that so we stay back as there was no point.

There was nearly always someone from one of the bands wandering in and out of the venue during soundchecks etc but they pretty much left the area straight away. No-one really bothered them.

Later on, as Jamie and Ian return they are once again mobbed but I was wanting to get a picture or an autograph but came to the realisation that there was no chance because it was hard to get down to them with everyone crowding them but I'm sure I had heard Ian say they were going into soundcheck but would return.

After 6pm came Jen and I decided we should return to the queue and wait there for doors opening at 7pm. We just stood in line talking away about random things.

Skip some time (not very much) and Jen and I have taken our places at the entrance to backstage knowing we could nab band members as they came and went.
