- Okay, so it's probably the most blasphemous and controversial manga ever written, but you have to admit it is epic.
Set in 1999, a riveting 20 volume long tale based around the rather awful life of Setsuna Mudou who loves his sister. He discovers he is the reincarnation of the organic angel Alexial and is plunged into the world of angels, demons, gods and dragons trying to get is precious Sara back and to return to the old, simple world which is on the brink of destruction.
The first three mangas were turned into a three part OVA in 2000.
