*The storm blew up out of nowhere,and soon Beowulf and his men were walking blindly through the driving snows towards a great forest. The trees towered into the steely grey sky and at last they found shelter in the mouth of a great cavern* Fetch firewood! *he scowled and shook the snow from his cloak of fur, and then crept to the back of the cave* I smell smoke, someone has been here recently....*his voice was deep and full of power, and the sound of his men making a camp for the night reverberated around the walls of the cave*

Lynette wandered the dark street, aimlessly.. The funeral for her entire family had been that afternoon. Though it was more of a rememberance service than a funeral, there being nothing left at all of their bodies to bury.. The kids. D.J. Kayle and his brother Marvin all perished in the explosion as they slept. As she had began her walk, the shock had finally hit her.. memories. bad and good flitted in and out of her head so that she was smiling one second.. and crying the next. she passed a few shops. all closed though, through the security bars, some of the windows where lit and she could see the wares on display. The tiny broomstick she saw reminded her of the one Sev had bought Malakai for his 1st birthday.. her heart was breaking with the longing she felt for them all.. she didnt know how long she stood there, lost in her grief...

She heard someone coming long before she saw them, their footsteps disturbed the birds in the trees, and whenever they took to the air it was always a signal, and she stopped what she was doing and stood in the centre of the clearing, turning slowly and watching the trees, a flash of unfamiliar colour caught her eye, and then a familiar face...
"Well, well, well..." she laughed...
"Who let you out of your cage...?"

He was seated on an old stone bench on the brow of the hill, set back under the shade of a tree where he could watch the view of the sea below, a book lay open on his lap and his head hung forward as if he were sleeping, his reading glasses slid down to the end of his nose.

"Excuse me sir, the park keeper was wondering if you had any experience in landscaping?"

Behold the sea, the mighty restless sea!
Behold the strand of battered rock and sand!
The endless fight between the sea and man!
Behold the sea!
Through wind and storm the foaming breakers roar

Teaching was over for the week, and Nicholas had yet another long weekend ahead of him, he walked down into the village nestled at the bottom of the hill and watched the other masters board the boat back to the mainland. He sat on the wall of the small harbour and watched them sail away, then glanced back into the village and considered beginning his weekend early, the bar here was small and he always felt like an outsider despite having taught at the school on the island for some months now.

"You'd fit right in here Sirius, stop by and make yourself at home."

"Feel free to stop by any time you want to get something off your chest, all theories welcome, everyone loves a good conspiracy theory."

"Don't you just love a good conspiracy Sirius?"

"Drinks are on the house tonight Sirius.."

He yawned and sat on the corner of the street, if he'd been a human it could have been assumed that he was waiting for a bus, but he was obviously a wolf, and was in fact waiting for a Mountie.
