Martin Laursen joined Aston Villa on the 21st May 2004 from AC Milan for £3 million. Ever since his arrival he has been plagued with knee injures which have restricted him to limited 1st team football. But this season has seen Laursen play in nearly all of Villas games this year including 6 goals up to date and has been his longest run without injury. He has established himself as a key player and a fans favourite. I think I speak for everyone when i say that all Villa fans would love to see Laursen stay at the club possibly until the end of his career.

Martin Laursen has recently signed a new contract which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2010.
