From the moment Amy and her Mutti pulled up outside my house at the break of 9:30am, I knew that we were going to have the most amazing weekend of our lives. I knew this by looking at the amount of stuff we had, and the space we had to fit it in. Naturally this resulted in being squashed against a window on one bumcheek with a Kelly on the other half of my seat. We decided seatbelts wouldn't be necessary. When we arrived, I opened the door and fell on top of a nice man in a flourescent orange waistcoat, who politely asked if I was okay. Then the adventure began. It took us two runs to get all of our bags from the car to the campsite, which was a bit of a walk. We finally found a space to put up our tents, after asking the nice man up in a watch tower where there was space and then made friends with our neighbours. We got settled in and then went exploring to see what we could find. We got to know the place and then went and raved to Alphabeat. After that we went to the 4 Music Stage and got right to the front to see One Republic (who were awesome) and then Scouting For Girls who just rocked XD So cheerful... We walked round for a bit after that, and then went back to our tent, buying a festival dress on the way. We got changed into my dress, Kelly's short shorts and our Free Hugs tops and went around getting hugs of randomers. We learnt that only guys on their own or in groups wanted hugs, no girls or guys with girls. We got asked by two guys to spend the rest of the night with them cause they'd lost their mates, so we paired them up and sent them off. Didn't sleep toooo well the first night cause it was raining and cold and people were being a bit noisy. We woke up the second morning and went to explore the showers, forgetting our towels. While we were waiting Kelly went back to get the towels. Kelly managed okay, but I didn't realise there was a shower curtain, and all my stuff got soaked. Oops. We sat around talking to Sam for a while, then went and sang along to The Script. After that we went to see Duffy, and left 2 minutes later cause she was pants and went to see The Dykeenies instead, who were amazing XD We got RIIIGHT to the front for The Hoosiers who ricked my socks off, and I fell in love with Irwen Sparkes. I mean c'mon. They had dancing skeletons playing brass and Irwen came out of a glass tube full of smoke XD. After The Hoosiers, me and Sam went to charge up my phone and see Stereophonics while Kel watched The Pigeon Detectives and Newton Faulkner. Stereophonics were bloody epic, got a bit muddy from the people in the mudpit though XD We went to meet Kelly by the Recharge Point, got a Pizza and went back to our spot at the Main Stage to see Muse. Muse were soooo bloody amazing, and it meant a lot more to us than Wembley because we knew every single word. By Knights of Cydonia at the end we were raving in the mudpit with the rest of them XD We slowly made our way back up the fields of mud to our tent, which hurt quite a bit cause it was so sticky and deep and we slept pretty well that night. We got woken up the next morning by Amy and her Mutti telling us they'd packed up and they were taking their stuff to the car. Me and Kel then put all our stuff away in the rain and then went scavenging. We acquired 40 cans of various alcohol, a wheelbarrow to wheel them to the car in and a dildo (which we left where it was). The journey to the car was loooong and tiring. But we made it. With every single can still in the wheelbarrow. The journey home was even more cramped than the way there, and I fell on Kelly's mum instead of an orange man when I got out that time. That weekend was the best weekend of my life, and I'd give anything to do it aaall over again. Same time next year for us XD
