Oban to Inverness
Time for a new adventure
When i left Inverurie and asked my folks if i could come home for a wee while, funny feeling they didn't have 8 years in mind, but the time has finally come to flee the nest again, think i might manage to stay away this time, well i might be back to check up on them every now and again, my dad will need a thrashing at darts every now and again
Change of town, change of job, change of fortune, amazing what a beautful woman can do to a boy like me, think she might even make me grow up, well she can but try. It will be fun for the both of us, and thanks to those who wished and wish us luck in the new house and for the future.
Many thanks to my folks and family for putting up with me for this long, now you can all stop worrying, your prayers have been answered, now i'm Ali's problem.
Thanks to Derek Wilson for keeping in me a job long enough to pay off all the glass, fireplaces and vans that i broke, thanks to steven carson for taking me on, and finding the house. We will see if he regrets that in a few weeks time
And finally thanks to Ali and Kirsten, for giving me something to smile about every day, and to all you friends for being friends.
i'll let you all know when the house warming is and the wedding, still don't know which one will be first.

Well mark this one in the book folks, me the comitment phobe, today i asked Ali Harvey, to marry me.
She made me the happiest man in the world when she said yes, tears from both of us, because i am a big softie at heart.
When you all have got over the shock, mine is a pint of lager and Ali will have a long vodka.

Tourists, driving and those gaelic signs
Take one white van man, add the A82 and A85, add a few wee hire cars with tourists driving on roads they don't know, and large Gaelic/English signs, with the Gaelic first i may add, and what do you get?
One very stressed and irate white van man, but i'm calm now, its saturday, a few beers on a friday night and time to chill out and compose myself, and write a wee story with out swearing.
Should tourists be made to sit a test before they drive on these roads, i only ask, because they are narrow and busy roads at times, and in a strange car, possibly driving on the wrong side of the car and road for the first time, it has to be difficult and nerve wracking, i do appreciate that, i probably don't help by sitting two foot of their bumper, but has any one checked that they know how to use their mirrors, has anyone checked that they know that it states in the highway code, that if you have more than a queue of 7 or more vehicles behind you, you are supoosed to pull over?
These roads have more corners than straights, so the few straights and layby's that are there should be used to let people past, NOT for acclerating down, just so you can stand the car on its nose as you hit the next corner, further infuriating the people behind.
And then when you do get to an overtaking point, that you think you can see safely, you find you can't, because there is a large bilingual sign, with gaelic first, further confusing the tourist, because they only have basic english, so by the time the read the sigm, they have again slowed down, further infuriating those behind.
Surely the money would have been better spent, clearing the shrubbery back from the edge of the road, and spending the rest on improving the road, or is that just too sensible for government and councils to appreciate, after all i'm only a simple white van man.6 komentarzy 747 dni

how are you both. im just back from islay, was there for a week for a jaunt. eventfull to say the least but it wasnt too eventfull seen as i was T total and on my best behaviour.

not sure where i am going on my honeymoon next year. Got saving to do before then. And now i have just got a house so got to furnish that and do it up. So more expense. Think i need to save up at least 4 thousand for the wedding. What you think? Thinks dont change much when you get married some people say it goes down hill! Dont think so!
