- Me, Myself, and I
- Homeless Productions is an independent music organisation based in Cork City, Ireland, specialising in gig organisation and promotion in the local area, as well as record label and distribution projects in development.
Since our inception in 2006, our aim has been to help encourage and develop young and upcoming bands, as well as helping to nurture the local scene, by putting on regular small and major events. In the past we have promoted/co-promoted shows by bands like Evile, ONOFF, and Anathema, as well as local heroes I'll Eat Your Face and Ladydoll, amongst many others.
Our record label project has been in development since 2007, with releases finally forthcoming in August/September 2009. Go to http://www.bebo.com/homelessrecords for more information.
To ask about gigs, co-productions or anything else and related inquiries, please mail us here or contact us on the other networks/forums.

Changes and Announcements
Recently, we all sat down and had talks amongst ourselves at various times regarding the direction of Homeless Productions. While some areas are growing tremendously, we feel that certain others are not, consequently, they aren't helping the bands involved.
We've done enough dipping of the proverbial dipping of the toes, so to speak. We've experimented with different things, brought on different people to varying results, but we feel as though we've hit upon the right mix of personalities and talents as a group. So we asked each other, how can we focus everything we bring to the table? Simple. We bring Homeless back to the drawing board. We did just that, and we now wish to talk about the following.
"BIG GIGS"
You may have heard different things about the fate of our affiliates, Acheron Promotions. Mike, as the final member (for now?) of Acheron, wishes to make no comment on it other than that he "was glad of the experience". Indeed, we've gleaned some experience and certainly a lot of well-wishes in the "big" gig sector, and as far as live shows, we feel that this a worthwhile direction to go in. Giving local acts the experience of playing with the national and international names we have been offered or are talking with would do so much more than playing to 30 people.
"SMALL GIGS"
What we would like to do, if we can get enough people behind us, is a showcase/festival for local bands. If anyone wants to lend a hand, let us know!
HOMELESS RECORDS
The label is nearly go, bar a few contract and recording thingies, and we are on course for August releases in CD and digital formats! Expect more announcements forthwith.
DISTRIBUTION
We are looking to build up a network of distros around the country, continent, etc. Simple deal, you distro Homeless titles in your area, we'll distro yours in Cork City and County? Sound like a good deal? Get onto us!
GRAPHIC DESIGN and ART
In three years, we've self-designed all but one of our posters, and created some striking, attention-grabbing pieces. Our crew numbers some talented artists and graphic designers, and will do its utmost to create something both eye-catching and true to the vision of your project.
PHOTOGRAPHY and VIDEOGRAPHY
Our boys Fitzy and Jay respectively have been noted videographers and photographers. Fitzy is an experienced video director with numerous clips to his credit, while Jay is a trained and enthusiastic photographer. These guys are perfect for that first video, for publicity shots or gig photos.
LEGAL ADVICE
As people who have been around a while now, we know the score when it comes to music and the law. Any questions? Come to us.
All this plus a few tidbits to be unravelled soon... Mwahahahah...
Yours,
The Homeless Crew0 Commentaren 173 dagen

SONIC BOOM SIX: AN CRUISCIN LAN, JUNE 11TH
A Punk-Rock, Hip-Hop, Jump-Up Ska Soundclash from Manchester UK
From Manchester's dynamic musical landscape comes the most compelling soundclash to rise from the underground for years. Few bands can so smoothly mix dancefloor-savvy elements of reggae, jungle and ska with the rigorous commentary of hip-hop whilst retaining enough grit and aggression to be an active fixture of the UK's punk scene. A true product of their environment - the sound of a thousand city-centre clubnights and student party mash-ups invigorate the righteous fury of distorted guitars and dubby grooves – SB6 create a sound as authentic as it is unique. Looking as at home on a festival stage as they are playing at a warehouse party, the band are retaining their grassroots ideation and positive, unifying message as their music steadily permeates a wider international audience.
Sonic Boom Six return with their third album City of Thieves, the fifth record to be released on their own Rebel Alliance Recordings. Whilst SB6's eclectic punk soundclash staunchly remains far too down-to-earth to ever being described as ‘prog', the album follows the concept of a collection of songs that explore and examine life in a large UK city. From crass consumerism to traffic congestion, lawless youth culture to homelessness, binge drinking to street violence, Laila and the guys cast their pragmatic critique on the state of the nation, embellished by their characteristic positivity and humour. City of Thieves is built on the bedrock of the band's unique ska-core/hip-hop/jungle hybrid but (in keeping with their original ethos of expanding the boundaries of what a punk band can be) adds dubstep, electro, dub and even glam rock to the mix, all the while retaining the snarling live edge honed by recent tours of the UK, Europe and the US with acts such as Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, Bad Brains and Big D and the Kid's Table. The first class collaborators involved in the record include production duties by Peter Miles (The King Blues, The Steal), artwork courtesy of Dan Mumford (Gallows, ADTR) and guest appearances from Al Rumjen (King Prawn, Asian Dub Foundation), Robin Leitch (Random Hand), and New York City ska legend King Django (Stubborn All-Stars, Skinnerbox).
In addition to Sonic Boom Six, the band perform acoustic reggae sets as Babyboom; a project that specialises in playing fundraisers, houseparties and holding musical workshops… but won't turn their nose up at busking for a few extra pennies during tours. Laila, Ben and Barney are also members of Suicide Bid, the ongoing dub-punk collective who are beginning work on their third full-length. A continuation of the DIY approach at the heart of band's ethos, SB6 arrange the Ruff and Ready package tour which provides a collective platform for some of the most intensifying underground bands around and toured to resonant success in 2007 and 2008 showcasing such acts as Mouthwash, the King Blues, Chris Murray and more.
"Grand statement time: Sonic Boom Six are, simply, the most exciting live band in the country and will, yup will, own 2009." NME
“Ska-punk isn't dead, it's just got a whole lot better.” KERRANG!
“The fact is that they represent something the Moosik Indusstree has been seeking out for years, a focussed blast of melody with a backbone of unimpeachable integrity, and they're utterly vital..” DROWNEDINSOUND.COM
“The Boom retain their status as one of the most powerful acts on the UK punk scene.” BIG CHEESE
"SB6 own the stage, probably get the best reaction of the entire day and, put simply, could well be the UK's most entertaining live act". PUNKTASTIC.COM

HOMELESS RECORDS: DUTCH METALLERS DON'T MENTION THE WAR JOIN HOMELESS RECORDS!!!
Wednesday May 6th:
Homeless Productions is proud to announce it has come to an agreement with rising Dutch alt-metallers Don't Mention The War to release their debut EP with its label, Homeless Records.
The four-piece, all hailing from Hilversum, in the midlands of the Netherlands, will be recording and mixing over summer for the release, with gigs both here in Ireland and back home to promote the new record. More details as we have them.
The demo tracks show great promise, with just the right balance of metal aggression and psych-ey experimentation, and we here at Homeless are proud to bring a band as innovative and creative as DMTW to notice.
For more info on Don't Mention the War, and a sneak, pre-mix preview, check out: http://www.myspace.com/dontmentionthewar

Hello there,
We, by all accounts, are Arachnids and Beans. We're alternative/acoustic-ish/experimental + blues and whatever you're having yourself. Now I've been informed that it's over-18's gigs you're doing at the moment and we won't all be occupying that age bracket until next year but please keep us in mind for under-age gigs. There's a rough demo on our page.
Much gratitood,
Arachnids and Beans
