Cerys Matthews is a Welsh singer and songwriter, best known as the lead singer of the Welsh rock band Catatonia. She was born on April 11th 1969 in Cardiff.Cerys is a fluent welsh speaker.She began her music career by giving live performances in city centers where she met fellow Catatonia band member, Mark Roberts.Their music rocketed from there and was a bit hit in the UK and the USA.After falling in love with American music producer Seth Riddle, Cerys moved to Nashville in the USA in 2002. She has since divorced from Seth. Cerys recently took part in "Im A Celebrity......" but had to cancel gigs that took part during this time. (Her new tour dates are below) She has now moved back to Pemborkeshire, Wales where she lives with her 2 children, Glenys & Johnny.
