- Safe Drive Stay Alive is based around a reconstruction of a road traffic crash. It traces the events leading up to the crash and follows the actions of the emergency services dealing with the incident. The show is a very powerful and honest account of a crash scene, showing the aftermath of such a serious life changing incident. Those who take to the stage are not actors, but members of the emergency services who attend such occurrences and also family members whose lives have been permanently changed by incidents on the roads.
The Road Show is aimed at young drivers and potential young drivers, providing the young adults with clear but shocking information on the injuries sustained by road crash victims and the consequences which affect their family. It highlights the need for drivers, especially those who are inexperienced and also young people travelling as passengers, to take great care when in a vehicle.

It's very moving to watch one of these reconstructions, with many members of the audience in tears or unable to watch the whole thing.
You see the drunk injured driver being questionned, with the driver, of course, being the least injured as normally happens.
You also see the dead passengers laid on the ground, then, a while later, placed in body bags and put into a hurst.
There is also the cutting out of the alive but severly injured unconscious passenger. The car has to be cut up.
It may only be a reconstruction, but these things happen in real life, to real people, and maybe even to people you know.
If you think of the amount of people that you know compared with the amount of people injured or killed in car accidents..chances are car crashes will affect you in some way.
But it's not just drink driving, it's also plain dangerous driving.

When I saw it, it was my friends acting it out, which just made it ten times worse!
Many of us were in tears for ages after, it really could be anyone you know
i saw the road show yesterday nd it was just like "fucking hell" it hit home hard. slowed me down
