BATTLE FOR BELLA 2009!
The Competition
Nessmp3.com in association with Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival are proud to be repeating the quality award nominated talent competition during 2009. We are looking for young bands and solo artists between the ages of 14 and 25 who perform their own material. The competition will take place over a series heats to be held in venues around the Highlands between March and July 2009. The heat winners will go on through further rounds and the remaining 5 bands or solo artists will play a grand Final to be held in The Ironworks in July.
The winners will have the prestigous honour of playing the Seedlings Stage at the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival in August 2009.
Competition Rules
All entrants must be resident within the Highland Region.
(For the purposes of this competition Highland Region is defined as Badenoch and Strathspey, Inverness-shire, Nairnshire, Morayshire, Ross-shire, Sutherland, Caithness and the Western and Northern Isles).
All entrants must be between the ages of 14 and 25 (inclusive).
All material performed must be original.
All entrants must play a 20 minute set.
Competition Heats will be held in Stornoway, Wick, Elgin (Venues TBC) and Invergordon Arts Centre. Semi finals will be held at Mad Hatters (Inverness) and the Grand Final will be held at The Ironworks (Inverness).
Each venue will have it's own set of rules which will be emailed to applicants once the venue has been chosen. Failure to comply with the competition or venue rules may result in disqualification.
